Interesting thing for me as fan of hg and naruto can see some similarities in this two diff media. I can see some gale in sasuke in the sense of both changed by violence they went through and seek vengeance in any type of cost but sasuke came through at the end while gale didnt

If people asking me why he be part of it later I’ll say this is where kishi fell short. He have these problematic systems he came up with like konoha’s, hyuga’s, even the very idea of having kids soldier as shinobi but he will vaguely address it and not giving them proper closure

Wrong his plan is to stop sasuke from acting on his vengeance onto innocent villagers for something they didnt do. Sasuke want to seek justice for his clan and feel wronged by the system which is a valid thing to want and feel but he collectively blame everyone in the village

Naruto's plan was still fighting him to death to defend the village responsible for Sasuke's clan massacre. All that while thinking he was doing a noble thing for Sasuke.
