Now the next step is already in motion: Blue Ghost Mission 2 (launching later this year) will deploy the first Elytra Dark orbiter carrying Ocula – truly the first commercial lunar imaging service. Expect ~20 cm/pixel visible + UV imagery from 50 km altitude, which is sharp enough to spot small craters, fresh ejecta and key mineral signatures (like ilmenite or plagioclase) that LRO's best shots can't always resolve in those wavelengths. CEO Jason Kim is right – this kind of persistent orbital dataset will be huge for site selection, resource mapping and cislunar domain awareness. Exciting times ahead for affordable Moon intel.
