This is one of the two biggest reasons why I still end up not using grok that often. The second is that it lacks features like Claude’s work helper/cowork, or perplexity’s spaces/perplexity computer. Seems like the real emphasis is on imagine, which is cool but mostly useless for someone like me. Hoping to see them add stuff like this soon. Today I’d say I use Claude 80% of the time, Gemini 10% (because it’s integrated with chrome), and Grok the other 10%. Just started using comet though which is probably replacing Gemini. And I am a person who actually wants to use Grok over all others. But the features others have are just too useful for now.

@mikepat711 100% agreed! I am a heavy user of AI not just for my work but for teaching my kids, health related stuff and planning out ultra race training and pacing etc. Grok unfortunately is mostly great at doing basic things on X.

@mikepat711 Grok is incredible at generating softcore goon material for terminally online people. It holds the undisputed lead there. I'm sure there's a reason that they're pursuing imagine so aggressively to the detriment of everything else, but it's puzzling to the the uninformed

@mikepat711 I'm with you, I do the same (Claude for 95% coding), grok for the misc stuff -- they need to up the coding. I paid for Grok Heavy Annual... so no fun lol.

@mikepat711 I've been using grok for code on my small business website. It does a pretty good job. I haven't tried Claude yet - what's your take on it?

@mikepat711 Grok can’t currently read a pdf of financial tables without hallucinating about the data in it. I tried.

@mikepat711 I can email Claude tasks like a personal assistant from anywhere and it’ll do them all by itself and then email me back. No other model has anything on that right now
