@caitIin_aIIen the audacity some of you have....you let the banter of other fanbases raise your insecurities.. if you really think we haven't transformed from a club in the gutter to an elite club with a sustainable future - you should stop supporting right now because you are too far gone

It’s actually because we’ve gone 6 years without winning a trophy despite spending over a billion pounds lol. We’re winning nothing and play shit football, what is the point? One league title in 6 years after spending that much is literally the bare fucking minimum
ꀸꋪꍟꅏ@GeecheeKid

Arsenal fans wanting Arteta to walk at the end of the season EVEN IF we win the league because we got knocked out of the Carabao and FA Cup (and who knows how UCL ends) is precisely the reactionary bullshit that rivals point to when looking at us. Get a grip.

@1_2spaces He look like a player that was told he was playing the full 90. There were moments where he was too selfish and instead of passing, he took a weak shot. Also, he lost the ball a handful of times with us pushed up and it led to quick counters. That’s poor game management.

Martinelli slander is weird. He was one of the few players who played well, created chances yday. Generally, out of all Arsenal attackers, he's one of the few who has the legs, intensity, and ability. An attack with Jesus Havertz Gyokeres, and this is who you go after?

@EBL2017 I appreciate your commentary because most of the commentary is always void of context and driven by emotion. Have we been poor by our standards, absolutely. But it’s all explainable and fixable. Getting our back 5 and Dec back together fixes all

When it's time to criticise, I criticise. Talked about how Arteta must get Eze on the left. Criticised his tactics vs Leverkusen away. Criticised his failure to adapt in the cup final. Criticised him for taking Gyökeres off too soon. This season alone. But he ALWAYS learns…

@YankeeGunner Right now it’s time for reflection, how did we suffer another poor defeat? Few reasons but it’s no shock we’ve played our 2 poorest games with an unsettled defense. No Raya, timber, Piero, knackered Rice, Gabi & Willo. I promise we’ll start firing once they’re all back together

Can I accept being knocked out of the FA cup with a rotated side & bigger trophies to prioritize? Yes. Have I felt for a long while that we haven’t been able to produce consistently excellent performances? Also yes. Until we start playing better, it’s hard not to be concerned.

@alexmoneypenny Stop supporting the club, that simple. you let emotions drive your supprt game to game. Fans do not understand how extremely difficult/impossible it is to win 4 cups in a season. Squad size and squad fitness almost never allows it, so you have to prioritize fitness strategically

I think the sad part is how little I enjoy a lot of Arsenal’s games. I don’t just think it’s the pressure. We play football like we’re trying to solve a maths problem.

@Neal2607 @FootballEra_ You’re almost out of every competition & 21 points behind.. You’re in turmoil, the players clearly don’t care anymore, and the highlight of your season will be hate watching Arsenal. That’s truly embarrassing for a defending champion. You should want better for your club.

Liverpool are out of every domestic competition in March and are about to miss out on top four after spending £500M on a title-winning team. This isn’t just the worst defending champion in the Premier League history, they are genuinely the worst defending champions in top-five league history.

@JessicaBlackTV You should. More fans need to take this approach. If you can’t see things in a macro holistic way and find yourself gettin too caught up in the emotions game to game , makes more sense for you to be a casual.

@RohanJivanAFC Liverpool has been the biggest bottle job in recent memory. Out of the prem, out of FA cup, will get bounced in the CL.. all after breaking the British transfer record twice in the same window as defending champs and now sitting in a Europa league spot in the table, embarrassing

Needs to be more talk on Liverpool lol. Defending champions, who spent > £400 million on transfer fees. And their body of work consists of getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup 4th round, 21 points behind us at the top in the league and are out of the FA Cup. CL still there but yeah…

@27dot Agreed. I just thought Leeds away or Sunderland and Spurs at home when the games were safe were opportunities to test him in that 8 position.

@KenHeLive Same type of scumbag dad but they were raised different.. Steph was an underdog & late bloomer who was just another pro’s kid.. he had to work to form his own legacy.. tiger was a prodigy from birth raised by a dad who never fulfilled his own dreams & turned him into a savage

@RohanJivanAFC Same, I watched it again and it comes down to 2 major things: Mikel got the lineup wrong to start and was slow with subs. Also exhaustion, our boys are knackered and we couldn’t exert the effort needed. Question I really want to know, was the priority always to manage fitness?

Right lads, finally rewatched the game back. So much to discuss. Firstly, the two nominal pivot players for each side: Rice/Zubi and Rodri/Bernardo. Our two were static, whilst their two were dynamic, which made a huge difference.

@_Afcbanks We mauled them the first 30 minutes with our high press in Paris chasing a goal, and if it wasn’t for Donnarumma‘s heroics, they would’ve been down 2 goals. My guess is we will face them again and this time having the second leg at home gives us the upper hand to dictate the game

@GuillemBalague @OllieHolt22 It’s quite simple Guillem, it’s either envy or jealousy. the average fan is so consumed by their club allegiance they don’t have the objectivity to appreciate Mikel’s elite quality. He is missing one piece to become the world’s top manager. After this season, it’ll be undeniable

Brilliant piece from @OllieHolt22 👇 This bit keeps coming back to me. "Many are still consumed by a strange kind of naked desperation for Arsenal to fail. That desperation seems to centre on Arteta more than any of his players, as if he has become a lightning rod for the schadenfreude of opposing fans and they cannot bear the idea that he is going to have the last laugh." Help me understand why the dislike (apart from the fact that winning gets seen often as suspicious in the UK, and that fans from other teams would use any stick available, no matter how flawed, to diminish a win from other clubs) But don't give me partisan lines, I would like some kind of sociological/psychological explanation (if possible)

@___Nans It tells you the difference in mindset of the actual pro’s vs the average fan who’s fueled by tribalism. Pros know the game better than anyone of us can and they know who really are the difference makers on the pitch

Fans do realise the players are the ones who vote for the PFA awards. Rice has that shit wrapped up especially if and when we win the league. Bruno can fraud the PL POTS award because it’s fan voted

@ChuckieOnline Agreed.. I’ve been saying it for years, Arsenal was the first club to openly embrace black & foreign players and multiculturalism . It burns at the soul of the proper Englishman to see it and that subconsciously drives their biases. It’s either or hate or envy , flip of a coin
