Every agent needs an identity. Every identity needs to resolve. Every resolution runs on DNS. This is why domains matter. 🌐

How's everyone feeling about the new raw ensvision.com ?
There will be many upgrades,
There is a lot ahead, really.
We will continue to deliver and surprise you along the way. We will go wider and deeper than you might expect. Stay tuned, this is just the beginning ;)

@ZurawinskiJakub @ethereum @ensdomains ENS is cross chain, e.g., I can receive BTC, SOL, AVAX, etc. with a single ENS
English

@ethereum @ensdomains Only problems is 0 privacy and eth only. That’s why it is not working.
English

ENS is built on Ethereum.
@ensdomains replaces long unreadable addresses with simple, universal names like vitalik.eth.
You own it, not a platform. It works across apps so your identity stays consistent and easy to share.

Everyone loves pretending the tech behind ENS is the thing that matters
CT obsesses over utility, functionality and every microscopic detail like any of that actually drives adoption
It does not
Devcel nerds can argue about technology forever, but nobody is choosing an ENS name because of some superior technical stack
Crypto natives adopt ENS for one reason
The flex
The identity
The status
The fact that it actually represents who they are inside the culture
People who live in crypto every day want a name that feels clean, feels personal, and feels like it belongs to them
They want something no platform can take away.
ENS nails that better than anything else on Ethereum
Even in a completely rekt market, the desire for clean names has never disappeared
Crypto is underwater, sentiment is shot, but people are still hunting for names that matter
People are still chasing 999s
People are still buying meaningful, high quality names
People are still treating ENS as their digital identity regardless of market conditions
If the tech was the reason people cared, none of this would be happening
And if the tech drove adoption, you would see the floors pump every time @ensdomains drops a blog post
Look at the 999 Club
The entire market has been nuked, but those three digit names still carry cultural weight inside crypto
That has nothing to do with throughput or standards or any technical upgrade
It is because 999s are cultural symbols, and culture survives bear markets far better than technology does
People love talking about Namechain, upgrades, and everything ENS is building
And the improvements are great, but the value of a name has never moved with the tech
Crypto natives only respond to two things
Identity and status
Bitcoin proved this years ago
It has terrible UX, slow confirmations and barely does anything, yet it still dominates because narrative and identity matter more than technical perfection
ENS works the same way
A clean name is not a technical decision
It is a personal decision
It is branding
It is someone saying this is me and this is how I show up in crypto
Crypto natives understand this intuitively
A clean ENS name inside a crypto community is the digital equivalent of wearing a Patek in a nightclub
Nobody cares about the mechanics of the watch
They care about what it signals
And if you believe Ethereum becomes the global smart contract layer, then every crypto native will eventually want a readable identity
At that point, the cleanest names become the most desirable digital real estate in the entire ecosystem
We have only lived through one real NFT bull run
We then survived a brutal bear market that destroyed everything without cultural backing
Yet the high quality ENS names survived because culture never fully dies
This market is cyclical
Identity rebounds
Flex rebounds
Culture rebounds
ENS names are not just human readable wallet addresses
They are identity anchors
They are social capital
They are digital status symbols that crypto natives will continue adopting no matter how ugly the market gets
Because the flex never dies
It just waits for the next cycle to wake back up

Unpopular opinion: Polymarket usernames could become more flex than ENS
Given the ever-increasing cultural importance of prediction markets, this scenario doesn't seem unlikely at all. I mean, sure, for now they're not onchain and hence not directly transferable, but you can still transfer them through some OTC deal. I wonder if anyone has done so yet?

@LJFriarETH Calm before the storm…
There’s no liquidity at the moment, during the last ENS bull it happened after the crypto top in 2021-2022. I think something similar happens again so it could be another 3 - 6 months until we see real ENS activity. We’ll need patience
English

It’s been a little while now…
This seems more than just a blip.
What’s going on with the #ENS market?
Any ideas?
