In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to the US Secretary of State, said that based on the movement of US troops and naval assets, among other indicators, it is difficult for him to conclude that Washington is in a position to end the war on Iran. He added that statements from US President Donald Trump and Secretary Hegseth also make it hard to believe that the United States intends to accept some of the ten points presented by Iran and "negotiate in good faith."
