IDEs Are Dead. I used claude code + codex + gstack + superwhipser + cmux to build my own in 2 days. 🎧 + 📱 + ⌚ > ⌨️ + 🖱️ Still quite a few bugs it's working.

I tried the new Warp update It's nice but too opinionated for me Lacks workspaces, and tabs in a pane cmux has is too good: Workspace (sidebar entry) └ Pane (split region) └ Surface (tab within pane) └ Panel (terminal or browser content)

@aye_aye_kaplan @jonathan_wilke The old UI is way worse than VSCode now, btw. Personally, I want just a good IDE. This is not what Cursor is focusing on at all. Also, Windsurf is a good alternative; free tab completes; the deep wiki is good; and it's a good VSCode enhancement just on the free tier

I don‘t really like the new UI of Cursor. If I wanted such UI I would be using Codex or Claude Desktop, but I actually want a code editor with AI chat. Maybe it‘s time to look for an alternative.

@aye_aye_kaplan Cursor AI? I just might today if both of them start acting the same. Claude reaching levels where I’m genuinely considering lowering my sub and trying an alternative.

Talking to Claude today feels like talking to someone who got hit on the head with a sack of bricks. And Codex just keeps thinking and thinking and thinking until eventually it reaches an answer (50% chance to be incorrect) or the Stream gets disconnected.
