Niko Kovač advised Bayern against signing one of his own Dortmund players last year How? Last summer, after Bayern failed to sign priority target Nico Williams, they turned to alternatives. One of them was Dortmund's Jamie Gittens. The supervisory board, including Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, was skeptical about the player. A club employee was tasked with contacting Niko Kovač to get an honest opinion from him about Gittens. Kovač is said to have made it more than clear that he considers the Englishman "not professional enough" to succeed at FC Bayern. The club then abandoned the pursuit of Gittens and went all in on Luis Díaz. Gittens ended up joining Chelsea [@BILD, Bayern Insider]

This case has huge implications for Clubs who feel they were disadvantaged by Chelsea's breach of the Premier League rules, and, IF found guilty, Clubs who may have lost out to Manchester City for trophies and Champions League places. Any sports lawyers thinking of going on holiday may have to postpone them.

Tommy Robinson asks why a questioner is called 'The Midnight'. “I never came out before 12 oclock at night and it was easier to scoop up the girls because they were all drunk.” TR laughs: "Great answer!" This after 2 hours claiming he defends women from predators. Wild hypocrisy.

There is understandable disgust & revulsion at the horrific attempted murder that took place last night. I share that revulsion. But the scenes we are witnessing tonight, family homes attacked, cars burnt, damaged infrastructure & parts of our community in flames, are shameful & disgraceful. No one has the right to spread fear, terrorise innocent families or unleash lawless disorder on our streets. I spent today on the ground in north Belfast, & the message from local residents was clear: the focus must remain on supporting the victim, standing with his family & ensuring the perpetrator is brought to justice. The actions of those who are destroying their own communities are totally unacceptable. It is clear that the horrendous attack last night is being used to whip up fear, division & hatred. That must be called out.

44-year-old Daniel Frost from Southampton has been jailed for two years and four months for violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon, a dog lead with a metal carabiner that he had turned into a makeshift knuckleduster. He has 25 previous convictions for 55 offences, including a six-year prison sentence for GBH and robbing an 80-year-old woman, as well as public order and burglary offences.

I would like my children and grandchildren to grow up in the world Sir Tommy Robinson wants them to have. May God bless and protect you Tommy.🙏🇬🇧
