@Ferrus_21 @Deppeken @PostLibCatholic @pureMetatron The Pope isn't immune from corruption. You follow God over man. Blindly following any man is idolatry. You are practicing Idolatry. The Catholic church teaches that the Pope is like any man, a sinner in need of salvation just like anyone else. You're a man of the Pope not God.

Immigration while keeping people out of the Vatican living behind walls protected by armed guards. Thats hypocrisy. He is preaching things he himself doesn't practice or believe.

@Ferrus_21 @Deppeken @PostLibCatholic @pureMetatron Not true at all. The Pope is a man. Like any man he is not immune from corruption. Jesus was strongly against hypocrites and The Pope is a hypocrite. Jesus would rebuke this Pope. If being a Catholic is blindly following anyone other than Christ then you sir are against Christ.

Pope Leo XIV is not ‘woke’, nor a Marxist, nor a progressive, nor a leftist. The Pope is simply a Christian. When he defends the poor and the innocent, he is following the Gospel. When he denounces injustice, he is imitating Christ. When he speaks for the poor, he is repeating word for word the Sermon on the Mount. Those who are angry at him are not fighting with Pope Leo XIV. They are fighting with Christ. Because it was Jesus who said: ‘Whatever you did for the least of my brothers, you did for me.’ Rejecting the Pope for being merciful is not something a Christian does. The problem is not that Leo XIV has strayed from Christ. The problem is that some have strayed so far from the Gospel that they no longer recognize it when they see it.

You’re a Catholic telling the Pope to stay in his lane because he’s advocating for peace? At this point, many of you would probably choose Trump over Jesus himself. It reminds me of that saying that if Jesus Christ were to return today, many modern Christians would be the very ones to crucify him again.
Stephenia Omeh, MBA@StepheniaOmeh

Pope Leo needs to stay his Lane. He is becoming worse than Pope Francis. Leave President Trump alone to do his job.

Gee, I wonder where the idea that "Catholics don't read the bible" came from?

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

@Pontifex You first. Lead by example. While you're at it. Tear down your walls and have your guards put down their weapons of war. Allow anyone who wants to be a citizen of the Vatican to live there in peace. Don't be a hypocrite. Jesus strongly condemned hypocrisy.

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

Jesus didn't call for physical violence in Matthew 10:34. The “sword” is a metaphor for painful division, not a weapon. When He immediately explains: “I have come to set a man against his father...”. He is not saying to slaughter your family. He is saying families will split over loyalty to Him. He rebuked Peter for drawing a sword (“all who take the sword will perish by it”) and commanded “love your enemies.” This passage was just before Jesus sent the disciples on a mission to minister. It warns of the cost of discipleship.

The comments are citing the Crusades, which the Christians lost, and the Old Testament. The Son of Man fulfilled the Old Testament. Jesus met those terms. Christians abide by the New and Everlasting testament where throughout His ministry, Jesus consistently emphasized peace.
