In Japanese, the idea of reading a book all the way through is expressed with the verb 読破 (どくは). It literally means “to read something to completion”. It's a term often used for books that require effort or commitment. What books have you read to completion this year?

Please, read books. Not just captions, or carousel posts, or what made it to the top of your feed. Read books. Long ones. Complex ones. You cannot build a mind with weight on the back of social media ephemerals. Intellectual depth demands patience.

@3v____Xeqtr @eileenwanita Did you now? Lol. I'll restate what I said earlier cause it seems you're not getting it. Google is a research tool as Ai is. If I want to write a historical story and create an environment that mirrors the past I'll have to read up on it, no? I won't call you on your BS either.

@BaaleofUI @eileenwanita sry I'm THE actual writer. I wrote the whole landscape of famous literature that you have. The entire world from Faulkner to Frost to Twain to Dickens to Shakespeare to Coelho to JK Rowling to Nicholas Sparks to Dan Brown... all me. Just my pen names. Any1 who uses AI = fraud

I tried having AI write one of my story ideas just to see what would happen, and yikes. That was awful. It was cliched, wooden, plasticky and all around terrible. Who would use these things and think it could pass for good writing? I may not be perfect at writing, but jeesh.

@BaaleofUI This is a phase I'm navigating right, I've been busy for so long, I'm trying to stop or reduce the activity of repeated work and produce real outcome and not just motion(activity)

@BaaleofUI @eileenwanita andddd that's a block. AI is not to be used in writing at all. You're a hack, a fraud, if you use it. You're creatively bankrupt.

@AiroPrompts @nikitabier kindly take this into consideration the next time you roll out new rules. You can't fight against engagement farming while some rules are in place to encourage it. I'm on her to build and connect with folks all over, how tf will I do that when they can't see me?

If you don't have Premium on X Your first interaction with someone new gets buried under the "Probable Spam" tab in the comment section. It’s hard to build a community when the platform literally hides your voice before you even get a chance to speak. Growth shouldn't just be for those who pay 😞

Do you know what I find interesting? “May Nigeria not happen to you.” Suddenly, Nigeria is no longer just a place. It has become a misfortune. Something that can happen to you. Something you can fall into. Something you may not escape from easily. Because when people say it, they are not talking about land or borders. They are talking about the experience. Trust me, when you hear the stories, you'll be broken by the level of fear, helplessness, and hopelessness that's associated with the name "Nigeria." And you know the worst part? You're less like to receive no justice, answers or closure. And some of you don’t realize this… In the Nigeria of today, this is one of the deepest prayers anyone can say to you. Because it is coming from someone who understands what it feels like to live in a place where safety is uncertain and where systems are designed to fail. Anyone who says that prayer to you… Trust me, they're being honest. And more than that… they really love you. So, as we go out today, may Nigeria not happen to you or to anyone we love. Amen!
