ROAD CLOSURE TONIGHT
Please note our road closure operates from 6pm until midnight along the following roads.
Powdermill Lane, High Street, Upper Lake, Lower Lake & Station Approach.
A quick heads up - there has been a sign placed by the highways agency advertising our road closure is 6pm - 10pm. This is incorrect. The road closure is 6pm-midnight. Sorry for any confusion
Top tips for not sounding like an idiot when mentioning Bonfire:
It's not a festival
It's a procession, not a parade
It's six different events happening at once, not a single event
Advertising your business off the back of it without donating to a society or charity is not cool
@JOMAX10 Hi Jo, I would suggest arriving early and getting your bearings. Avoid trying to view from the town centre by the fire as it gets very busy and if you look at our Facebook page we have lots of extra info on there
@BattleBonfire Hi, we’re visiting this weekend and would love to watch the procession and fireworks - a long-held item on my bucket-list! Any advice as where to position ourselves would be welcome as I’m unfamiliar with the layout of the town - we will be coming from Rushlake Green direction.
Safety is a priority for BBB. Please ensure you have read our safety information prior to attending on November 3rd.
We advise that our event is not suitable for young children or those of a nervous disposition
If you plan to attend our event this Saturday please ensure you bring plenty of cash for two reasons:
1. There are no cash points in the town centre
2. You will want to donate some money to our charity collection as every penny collected is given away
