@KevinMassare Trading out of the 1st rd should’ve been the plan for every fan,I don’t think they realize how much help is needed on defense 🤣

The other path that the KC Concepcion fans wanted over the current path would have cost you at least a 4th to jump Cleveland That leaves you with: KC Concepcion + pick 91 only The current path: 35, 66, 101, 126, 127, 167 KC would have cost you pick 35, 66, 101, 126, 127, 167

I'm pretty annoyed Bills had a chance at Omar Cooper Jr, and they moved back TWICE. I think Beane may have gotten too cute and missed out.

This is why we’re talking about Caleb Woodson… Racin Delgatty made his job easier, but the instant play recognition from 7 combined with the closing speed is an exciting addition to the LB room in Tuscaloosa. Tried to slow the video down so you can see it - but Woodson calms a lot of the concerns I’ve had at that position moving forward, it’s mostly about depth now.

@ClintRLamb @CoverCrimson Will take time for them to gel,but once they do I think it’ll be a very solid o-line. Love the athleticism in the lineup

After A-Day, here are my current OL depth chart projections for Alabama. Officially, only listed each player at one position, but also included guys at the bottom of each position that could see time there if needed. For example… Nick Brooks is RT2 below, but if Jayvin James went down with an injury, I wouldn’t be shocked if Carroll slid out to RT with Fields or Waldrep replacing him at RG. If Jackson Lloyd were to miss time, strong possibility James could slide to LT, Carroll to RT and then either Fields or Waldrep at RG. Other thoughts: -Wouldn’t be surprised if Mal Waldrep was actually C2 behind Delgatty, as well as being one of the top backup options at either OG spot. Ethan Fields might be the biggest threat to Will Sanders’ starting job, but Waldrep will be a worthy depth piece at all three interior spots. -While I view Carroll as the starting RG and OT3, I can also see Tyrell Milller or Nick Brooks being that top swing option — if they didn’t want to create too many moving parts. Brooks still has some work to do at tackle, but I’ve become much higher on Miller. That was another good eval by the staff. -Right now, Ty Haywood is down the depth chart. He’s only a RS freshman, so no reason to panic here. I’ve said that he feels like a better fit inside, but there’s as much competition happening in there as there is at OT. Patience is key. -Top 5 OG options at the moment: Carroll, Sanders, Fields, Waldrep and Brooks. Staff might have Brooks focus on OT to make sure there are adequate depth pieces there, but his college experience is at LG. Keep that in mind. -Chris Booker is going to be a really good player in due time, but he should have time to add some much-needed mass. Currently have Jared Doughty eventually being a LT with Bear Fretwell, who’s currently recovering from an injury, projecting on the right side (for now). That’s not finalized though, as neither player was on campus this spring.

@AlafrigginBama Kaleb Edwards: TE is a QBs best friend, especially first time starters Zabien Brown: Think of Dee Milliner in 2012 when he’d shutdown an entire side Whoever lines up at NT,last year there were times when you could tell when TK wasn’t on the field

Most important players for Alabama in 2026? (IMO) - Ryan Williams: with age comes responsibility and he’s going to have to lead this WR room in 2026. All eyes will be on newly named and numbered (Coleman-Williams) to bounce back from a sophomore season where he left a lot of yards on the field. Ryan will be looked at still as one of the premier wideouts in college football - pressure isn’t going anywhere, can his hands keep up? - Michael Carroll: the lone returner along Alabama’s newly built Offensive Line. Whether Carroll plays tackle or guard - he’s going to be instrumental in setting the tone under Adrian Klemm. Carroll’s versatility could be exactly what Bama needs to unlock a physical line followed by a productive and complimentary run game. He’ll also be looked to as the physical example of what Alabama expects from their linemen. - Yhonzae Pierre and Justine Hill: Expectations are high for these two and they should be. Alabama’s pass rush looked better in 2025 but at times faltered in pressuring opposing QBs. We saw moments of aggressive potential from both Wolf prospects in 2025 and they stand to be the secondaries best friend. - Caleb Woodson: Alabama has a rebuilt defensive line and a proposed elite secondary going into 2026. One of the quietest rooms lies right in the middle with the linebackers - specifically the inside guys. The Tide lost a lot of snaps at the position with the exit of Deonate Lawson, Nikhai Hill-Green, and Justin Jefferson. Caleb Woodson, as mentioned with others, will be a tone setter in this group along with QB Reese. - Connor Talty and Lorcan Quinn: Kickers don’t catch the eye, unless they’re missing game winners or shouting at their snappers. Connor Talty, although rocky at times, came on strong for Alabama late in the season. However - the Tide also added former Marshall PK Lorcan Quinn, the Irish native with solid leg strength. Going to a 9-game conference schedule, it’s easy to picture a few close wins that may hang on the kicker’s leg. Talty brings with him a chance for redemption while Quinn brings accuracy and potential power. EJ Crowell: The five-star sensation is the talk of the town in Tuscaloosa - and for good reason. Alabama, I’m still convinced, has a solid stable of running backs. Many of which lost confidence in a faulty OL in 2025 and were maybe - potentially - thrust into action before they were ready. I expect that to change in 2026. However, the Tide are still looking for a guy who can make it ALL happen when nothing is there - insert EJ Crowell. He’s got the skill set, it’s all just a matter of time. Red Morgan: Morgan is versatile. Better yet - he’s aggressive, bringing with him a violence that we haven’t seen since the Mack Wilson days. With multiple responsibilities - Morgan will be called on to do it all - blitz, cover, and provide run support. And God help whoever he decides to lay the wood to - just be mindful of targeting. Honorable mention - Other DBs and QBs of course, but it feels like Alabama is good to go at these positions which are stocked with a ton of talent who could get Alabama where they need to go. Who are your most important players for the Tide?
