VCU! Yes sir! North Carolina goes home devastated. Bama will advance further than the Tar Heels once again if we beat Hofstra.

Perhaps encouraging for Alabama: The SEC is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in the NCAA Tournament thus far. Saint Louis-Georgia still pending tonight. Teams Bama played in the regular season are 5-1 SU in the tourney.

The ACC is 0-5 ATS to start the NCAA Tournament. N.C. State, SMU and North Carolina lost straight up as favorites. Duke squeaked past Siena and Louisville held on late against USF. The days of the ACC being the best basketball conference are long gone.

I think VCU and USF both arguably looked like the better team today. But USF had a disastrous day shooting. And VCU had a disastrous first half allowing UNC to get to the rim and also shooting to an extent.

If you've got Arizona winning it all, it's a great afternoon for you. Arkansas is talented. But Wisconsin beat Michigan, Illinois (twice), Purdue and Michigan State. Arkansas lost to Duke by 9, to Houston by 9 and to Florida by 34. High Point isn't drawing dead in R32 either.

Eye-opening stat: Duke is the FIRST-EVER 1-seed to trail a 16-seed by double-digits at halftime in NCAA tournament history, per ESPN Research.

Bryan Hodgson's South Florida team hasn't been able to buy a bucket from 3 all day. But after falling behind by more than 20, it's been fun watching them storm back. Probably won't win, but has been high-class entertainment and impressive stuff.
