@ernieorbigern Maybe, but this is a historically bad division — and at the same time, a historically good division. It’s hypothetical, sure, but it speaks to how tough the #CBJ have had it (and how they’re still succeeding).

Sometimes he drives me nuts, but @domluszczyszyn is ultimately one smart cookie. He has the #CBJ as one of six teams with a 4%+ chance to hoist the Cup this year. @MoneyPuckdotcom has the Jackets as one of seven with a 5%+ chance. Don’t pinch yourself. This team is FOR REAL.

Brady Tkachuk just scored with 12 seconds left in regulation to send the NY Islanders to a regulation loss. If the #CBJ hold on for the win, they will move into third place in the Metro division.

Igor Shesterkin has allowed five or more goals just four times this season. Two of them have been against the #CBJ.

@BlueJacketStats I believe they would actually need Detroit and Boston to also lose in regulation. They both have more regulation wins than Columbus so they have the tiebreaker. Also, Islanders have more regulation and OT wins (ROW) so they can’t pass them tonight regardless

There are *three* ways for the #CBJ to officially jump into a playoff spot today. (1) CBJ win + NYI regulation loss (@ OTT) = 3rd in the Metro. (2) CBJ win + any DET loss (vs MTL) = WC spot. (3) CBJ win + any BOS loss (vs WPG) = WC spot
