In some ways yeah. There are things that normal people do quickly that I literally have to think about. Its not a smart or stupid state. Its Plato's cave. Everything seems to flow in tiers of cognition and each tier fundamentally changes the foundation. If you can simulate in your mind the thoughts and actions of others each layer modifies completely how you see the world. Most people wont simulate more than 3 layers in unless the stakes are super high. The 4/5 layers are important because it forces you to realize not everyone has your best interests in mind. A world filed with people stuck in layer 3 will rot as people will take advantage. And those layer 3s are often fairly smart people, they just don't realize how detrimental layer 4/5 is.

Autistic people love AI because AI is the only thing that can reliably keep up with them.

So unless you want to end up subjugated by whatever other country builds it first without restriction. You may want to consider that as a detail when asking why now.

@BuffCryptoShark @Breadandbuttrs @WallStreetApes Those 1000 jobs are temp jobs, building the center jobs. Once its done those 1000 jobs get reduced to an actual 100 or so permanent jobs. I just don’t see that much agricultural destruction worth a measly 100+ perm jobs.

You have officially sold out every single resident in Joliet” These people very clearly do not work for their residents

@Fadingarcader @webofpagne For real? That's great news. They want to build a 1GW facility in Olds Alberta which is freezing 9 months of the year. We could do with an average increase in temperature

@webofpagne The longer these data centers are up, the more problems they cause. Just heard about them creating "heat islands" where the temps around a data center are 15° warmer. Considering temps in the summer already near 100° that's the last thing you need. Hope to see more reining in.
