@CoachSwit After 13 kids interest change. If a kid sees that he has the ability and wants to go play in college, I believe it is important for that player to surround themselves with people who want the same thing. "Rich people don't hang out with poor people"

What if nobody played travel ball until after Little League at 13? Less burnout? Fewer arm injuries? Or does it slow development? Not for everyone—but maybe it works for some. Thinking outside the box. What do you think? I think I know the answer for most.

@CoachMarcusHill The coach is there cause they already know their good. They want to see how the player warms up. Are they good teammates. Do they compete every pitch. How do they fail. You can't find that stuff in rankings.

Players, the coach of the college you want to attend is watching your high school or travel ball game. He’s holding paperwork that reads all types of bullshit including your ranking according to some nerds, all types of metrics that say you’re good. You proceed of go 0-3 with two punchies and a 6-3 where you run 60% down the line. You think the papers he’s holding are more important than what he just saw with his own eyes? Focus on real life and what matters. rankings are pretend. Social media is pretend. Box scores are real.

Overheard a high school sophomore in our facility tonight tell his instructor that have to do a mile run during baseball tryouts because nothing says I wonder if this dude can win a 9 pitch at bat like a 7 minute mile.
