Great to speak to some of our @MiamiBeachPD officers out on Ocean Drive this evening. The city owes them immense gratitude for the jobs they do keeping our residents and visitors safe. Public safety is our top priority.

This moment reminds us of the courage our police officers display every day to keep our community safe. Wishing our injured @MiamiBeachPD officer a speedy recovery.

Learning that one of our police officers was injured is gut-wrenching. I went to Jackson Ryder Trauma Unit tonight to visit the officer who was shot in the leg. Thankfully he’s in good spirits and recovering. We pray for all our officers and their safety.

Thank you to @MyFDOT_Miami for the tour of our Miami Beach Traffic Management Center. This one-of-a-kind facility will allow city staff to be integrated with FDOT and @GoMiamiDade staff in an effort to improve traffic in our city.

Today we pause to remember the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust. Miami Beach became home to many Holocaust survivors who fled Europe, and whose lives and legacies of survival created the dynamic, cultural community we live in today. #HolocaustRemembranceDay
