The boy who saw seventy bullets pierce through his family in Tammun said: "I asked the soldier, 'Do you love your father and mother?' He replied, 'Yes.' I said to him, 'Then why are you killing my father and mother?' So he slapped me across the face." Noor Abu Salma

Lets be clear.... If a primary school in Tel Aviv was bombed and 160 little girls were killed, the BBC, CNN and all other news broadcasters would be covering it wall to wall, 24/7 and we would know every one of their names. Some children matter more than others apparently...

Huge turn out at Melbourne’s rally today to protest Herzog’s arrival. Not sure how the government couldn’t have anticipated this response

Academics from @Deakin and @victoriauninews from pro-Israel lobby group "5A", using their uni emails, wrote to Latrobe uni & Bendigo Writers Festival in July to pressure cancelling me . Demanded "'measures" be taken. And so we have the reason why the Code was sent. Note the ease with which 5A defames and smears me- and that this was indulged by Latrobe uni & Bendigo festival. The anti-Palestinian rot runs so deep. open.substack.com/pub/deepcutnew…

My local cinema, Classic Elsternwick, cancelled screenings of Oscar-winning doco ‘No Other Land’ fearing it divisive, but are now screening ‘October 8’ (pure Zionist propaganda) 2-3 times a day. Silver lining is this superbly written review from @jake_romm defector.com/the-paranoid-f…

Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur oPt
"The Israeli American aid operation has turned Gaza into a human abattoir, where starving civilians are herded like animals into fenced off pens and in the process are slaughtered like cattle. This is akin to some of the darkest periods of human history, where industrial death factories have been used against innocent women and children who were led like lambs to the slaughter". Beautiful dedication to Refaat Alareer and four of the young writers who were killed by Israel before this collection could be published: Yousef Dawas, Mahmoud Alnaouq, Huda Alsoso, and Mohammed Hamo

Just received my copy of @WeAreNotNumbers: the voices of Gaza’s youth, hot off the press. Such an important anthology, ten years in the making. As Ta-Nehisi Coates describes “light streams out of this collection — it etches the angles and curves of Palestinian humanity”

Sarajevo Gaza Tribunal Public Assembly Day 1 – Highlights The Gaza Tribunal, a civil society-led “people’s tribunal,” opened its first public session in Sarajevo on May 26, 2025. It seeks to document Israeli war crimes in Gaza and address the failures of international institutions to deliver justice. The event began with remarks from Richard Falk, former UN Special Rapporteur and professor emeritus of international law at Princeton. Falk said: “It has become obvious that the UN lacks the capacity to override the genocidal support provided by the United States. The @gazatribunal draws on the legacy of the Russell Tribunal and the Iraq War Tribunal.”

NEW: Gaza Tribunal to Hold First Public Hearings in Sarajevo The Gaza Tribunal, an independent effort to investigate Israeli war crimes in Gaza, will open its first public session in Sarajevo on Monday, May 26. The four-day event will feature legal scholars and civil society figures, including Dr. @SamiAlArian, Dr. Ilan Pappé, Drs. Saree and @UssamaMakdisi, Dr. Mimi Syed (@Memers1st), and Dr. Thaer Ahmed. ➤ Led by former UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories Richard Falk, the tribunal aims to confront the international community’s failure to uphold the law, and center Palestinian voices. ➤ It will examine charges including genocide, apartheid, and forced population transfer. Topics include settler-colonial frameworks, displacement, and UN system failures, with a special session titled From Srebrenica to Gaza. ➤ The Sarajevo Declaration, a collective statement shaped by participants, will be issued on May 29 to summarize the tribunal’s conclusions and demands. Final proceedings will take place in Istanbul in October, where a Jury of Conscience will present its findings. All sessions will be livestreamed on YouTube. Stay tuned to Drop Site’s feed as we follow and share more from the hearings throughout the week.

One of the doctors once explained that the reason the most killed are between 6-12 year olds is because they run less fast than the older kids but they’re also too big for an adult to carry while running.

Dear Teachers, Principals, and School Leaders, I am offering a FREE 1-hour Zoom session to any school in Australia, providing an introductory lesson on Palestine. I cover its history (including pre 1948), and our ongoing struggle for liberation and justice. My class is designed as a primer to help students and educators gain a foundational understanding of Palestine. My class is relevant to humanities subjects or can be run as a general incursion across year levels. Since 2005, I’ve spoken at schools across Australia and internationally. I bring to this session my experience as a Palestinian, a former lawyer, an author and academic, drawing on my professional expertise and lived experience. Please DM me if your school is interested in participating.
