Susan Kare in 1983: "If you're an artist, & you're skilled with media, this is a new medium that offers great control... There's a thousand little dots [per] half an inch and you have the capacity, either real or magnified, to turn off & on each one of those dots..."

Susan Kare was an early Apple artist who designed many of the fonts, icons and images for Apple, Microsoft, NeXT and IBM (1980s). Check out her work below 🔻

We’ve lost an old friend of Commodore. Hedley Davis, Senior Design Engineer, helped shape part of what many of us still love about this machine era: from the famous spinning globe REU demo that stunned CES in 1985, to engineering work on C64 peripherals and early Amiga systems. His work was part of the fabric of Commodore’s story; thoughtful, technical, and quietly influential. We honor his contribution, and send our condolences to all who knew him, worked with him, and loved him.

Aujourd'hui nous sommes le 14 mars ... Joyeux PI Day à toutes et à tous !

MAR10 Day (March 10) is an annual celebration of Nintendo’s iconic mascot, chosen because the date “Mar 10” resembles the name “Mario”. Officially recognized by Nintendo in 2015. In 2019 the #Commodore64 finally received a fan made port of Super Mario Brothers from 1985. #C64

Dhruv Rawat@imdhruvrawat

World lost an intellectual giant. Hoare logic, quicksort, CSP, monitors, and a lot more. Very few fields in computer science have been left untouched by his legacy. RIP Sir Tony Hoare 💐
