He specifically said “Im not a politician, I’m a golfer” instead of saying, “I’m going for the money”. It’s a mattee of morals. He waa fine taking the Saudi money then. Now he’s sick of hearing it. @CND1963 @GolfMonthly He got permission to leave the tour and play on the Asian Tour where it was part of. It was not a Euro or PGA Tour event.

@DaddyShackAus @GolfMonthly There’s a difference between playing in a tournament in SA that is scheduled in the tour program to win a prize pot than against being held to Saudi paymasters for your livelihood just because they are throwing huge sums of money at already wealthy but greedy players!!

The closure of the Bulleen Driving Range and the looming closure of the Yarra Valley Country Club is a huge concern for golfers in that area. Public access to golf in the suburbs is diminishing. Big impact on women and kids golfers who get intimidated by member only courses.

@jamogolf Freeway golf - the first course I played more than once. 30 cents for 9 holes. 40 cents to go around twice. No clubhouse- bloke in a caravan collected the green fees.

And with Freeway Golf out of action the opportunity for ordinary people to play golf is slipping away #publicgolf is important if done right Yet insignificant if it's just a subsidized version of a member club It's worth investment #allwelcome
