@DanOSilv It’s not clear that the sub tenants are going anywhere. And I’m not an atty or anything but I think those sec deposits are protected. They at least need to be from a brand perspective going forward.

if wework goes bankrupt, who is it bad for other than the equity holders and the office landlords who have above market leases with them (that probably shouldnt have been signed in the first place)?

@gemassmer Ah yes. I should have added a stronger qualifier. It’s getting worse as well: hearing of landlords asking their fit out contractors to run in-house flex, instead of bringing in pros. That’ll end well.

Great Portland Estates confirms it is in ‘advanced negotiations’ with law firm Clifford Chance for the law firm to take a ‘significant pre-let at 2, Aldermanbury Square in EC2. The 320,000 sq ft development is one-third the size of the original 1m sq ft rented in Canary Wharf.
