Mumbai could have built a modern coastal commuter railway moving 10× more people, like the Rodalies de Catalunya I rode in Barcelona. Instead, it chose a massive bridge in the sea for cars, the least efficient and most polluting way to move a city. 🚇🌊

Bombay makes no sense. Spent a week and what a paradox. You can spend ₹2,000 on a perfect meal and 2 hours stuck moving 5 km. Strangers will go out of their way to help you… while the system around them barely works. I came from Bandra to Navi Mumbai International Airport in 92 minutes and somehow still left liking the city more. This shouldn’t happen. What is it about Bombay that makes people forgive everything?

15 years ago, there was a Rugby World Cup in NZ. Shane Bond had gone back after a season with KKR, and I remember his happiness while following his social media feed when he got allotted some tickets in a ticket lottery. Shane Bond, legitimate Kiwi sporting legend, applying in a lottery for tickets for a game in his own country. That's a culture I would so love to see for India. Our politicians and bureaucrats are just so entitled about their rights to free tickets. Ask any IPL franchise dealing with police and local administration!

Pls beware of this brand! Bought a @Duroflex_world bed for ₹20K. After 2 yrs, the side cracked! I offered to pay for repair — they said no because the 1-year warranty is over. Not even a paid service option. Is this how a premium mattress brand treats customers?

What if the Boxing Day test was rotated to a new venue every year, or they played Wimbledon by rotation every year across clubs in the UK. No Centre court, no Kipling poem, fries and rings instead of strawberries and cream. Sport thrives on tradition, on records and champions and legendary encounters, on hallowed turfs Test cricket is struggling, to play it in venues which don't even have tradition on their side is not a great idea.
