(SPTC)🗣️:
Chelsea’s manager search is starting to reveal something deeper than just names…
• Xabi Alonso is interested — but not convinced
• Initial talks already happened via agents
• Andoni Iraola also contacted (same agency link)
But here’s the key tension:
👉Alonso wants more control than what Chelsea FC are currently offering.
And he’s NOT alone — other candidates are asking the same questions:
→ What’s the actual project?
→ Who controls recruitment?
→ How much authority does the coach really have?
This is where it gets interesting tactically + financially:
Chelsea’s model = data-driven, multi-club, recruitment-led
Top coaches like Alonso = identity-driven, control-heavy systems
That clash is the real “sticking point.”
Right now: • Alonso is open to talks
• But would need serious convincing to accept
• Face-to-face interviews are next
This isn’t just about hiring a coach anymore…
It’s about deciding: 👉 Do Chelsea adapt to the coach?
👉 Or force the coach into the system?

@Who_is_kayy What really annoys me about our structure is that - if the directors picked Enrique & allowed him to build a super team.
The on-field success would have brought in massive sponsorships & revenue for the owners, instead they are wasting billions - as we fall lower and lower 🙃🙃

Graham Arnold could not have gotten Iraq to the World Cup without THIS GUY 👇 - and the story of how they got here is beautiful 🇦🇺🤝🇮🇶
A-League fans will remember Ali Abbas.
A 9-time Iraqi international, he sought asylum in Australia and became an Aussie citizen, seeking a better life amid a tough situation back home.
In 2012 he joined Sydney FC, where he played under Arnie.
Fast forward more than a decade and Abbas heard Iraq were interested in appointing his old boss as head coach.
He not only encouraged Arnie to take the job, but was soon appointed as his interpreter, ensuring the Aussie great's messaged got to his players.
Together, they helped get Iraq back to the World Cup after 40 years.
A special, special story.

@SonOfChelsea @siphillipssport The situation 100% calls for it. Any sane fan can see it's the only way to turn the spotlight onto the ownership.
English

@siphillipssport I don’t like seeing players talk like this, but I’d be blind to dismiss the broader problems that probably lead to this.
Excusing/ignoring how club culture, leadership and mistakes have filtered down just feels like a waste of time

@Blue_Footy Good. They both deserve better than what this ownership provides them with. A shit wage and no prospects of winning anything important.

"If I had the chance in the future [to return to Barca] I would value it, but it would be very nice," Cucurella toldCat Radio in Nov 2022.
It's been his dream. Nothing new but just like Enzo, it's not right talking about these things at this time of the season.
But if the vice captain is talking about transfer uncertainty, then who will caution others like Cucurella. That's why Enzo's made me angry. You are the second captain, should be making sure everyone is focused on the task ahead not talking about possible transfers.
Both players are wrong to discuss it at this point. Again, it shows how messed up and leader-less that dressing room has become.

Marc Cucurella on the possibility of Barca move: 🗣️ "It’s clear that if those situations arise, they’re difficult to refuse. I’d have to consider it and talk to my family. I’m not thinking about that right now, but if it happens, we will see what decision to make." ~ @Flashscorecom

@hot_savce @NUCLRGOLF The fact you have a hybrid shows your too gay to successfully make triple.

🚨💰👮♂️ #DISCUSSION: — You have a four shot lead standing on 18 tee and need a triple bogey or better to win The Masters.
Win and you get $4 Million.
Fail, and you go to prison for a year.
Would you do it?

Enzo Maresca worked under Pep, won the championship, came here won the conference league, thrashed PSG to win the CWC, beat Barcelona in the UCL. Then asked for a center back and never got it.
Liam Rosenior couldn’t even manage Hull City and he will apparently stay no matter where we finish and can request transfers.
This club is finished.

🚨 One source told us that Liam Rosenior has already been allowed more involvement in transfer talks than his predecessor Enzo Maresca. (@kierangill_DM) #CFC

@Blue_Footy Your boy Barco is coming next year is coming to save us though!!!
English

@Blue_Footy @cfc_whale You usually have good takes but I'm concerned they're paying you too 🤦🏽
English

@DanielCFC01 @cfc_whale We don't lack experience in midfield. You don't understand the definition of experience.
We only lack experience on the wings and at centre-back.
English

Just another kid, won't add anything tangible to this team if we are to be honest. Chelsea needs a seasoned midfielder and not another kid from France.
Vince™@Blue_Footy
If you think this midfield won't use a player like Barco, then you are sleeping.
English

@Blue_Footy @cfc_whale No it doesn't. Caicedo, Enzo, Palmer are all 'quality'. They need experienced players around them - an experienced coach. You don't allow your arrogance as owners to think you can reinvent what constitutes a winning formula in football. We are four years into a joke of a project.
English

@DanielCFC01 @cfc_whale Joao Neves wasn't experienced when PSG bought him from Benfica after one big season. How is he now? Quality is what matters.
English

@Blue_Footy @cfc_whale PSG have got the right mix of experienced players to allow younger talent to improve & eventually flourish. Until we acquire the right experienced players, Barco-like signings need to fucking stop end of.
