Only three possibilities really 1) PM wasn’t told his own pick for US Ambassador has failed his security clearance. Foreign Office officials stood by and saw PM unknowingly mislead House and didn’t say anything. Still questions as to how it could possibly be neither No 10 nor PM nor FS asked as to what the status of his clearing was. Potentially gross incompetence in every direction. Or they just didn’t want to know. Which is especially outrageous given Starmer later essentially blamed security services. 2) PM did know. He misled House and country. Resignation matter. 3) it’s not quite 1 or 2 and there’s something about this story or details of this story we don’t fully understand yet.

So, Sir Starmer isn’t a liar, this is good to know. Now, he is just incompetent and lacks any sort of control. Based on his comments about other leaders, his position is absolutely untenable. I expect also, based on previous comments, they will call a general election when he resigns!

The B&O in my 2008 Audi A8 D3 was the best sound system I’ve ever had in a car. Genuinely better than the Bowers & Wilkins BMW replaced the B&O with (of which I’ve also had) Would love a F02 7 Series with the B&O system and the cool tilting tweeter in the middle of the dash.

@hjwakerley It’s an epic car from a epic Mercedes era. Both the SL and CE coupe were such elegant cars. Just wish they had built many more. Must be worth a fortune these days.
