The Seattle doggy daycare employee who beat a dog to death will only spend 3-months in jail. Dejean Bowens pleaded guilty to first degree animal cruelty for killing a black lab that was in his care at the Lazy Dog Crazy Dog boarding facility in Ballard Aug. 2025. Bowens kept the attack going even after the Black Lab, named Mitch, was whimpering and hiding from him. Bowens received the max sentence per Washington state law. RIP Mitch 💔😢.

@BrandonStraka The early models were great. First mattress we had that didn't end up with a body trough in 2 weeks. Bought a new one after a flood in 2016 and it was trash. In less than a year a spring poked through. Just foam covered springs at that point. Never again.
