They were starved and beaten.
Many were close to death.
Allied forces described them as 'skeleton thin'.
They had endured misery in a concentration camp near Hanover.
Tank Commander George C. Gross wrote of them in 2001:
"Also tremendously moving were their smiles. I have one picture of several girls, specter-thin, hollow-cheeked, with enormous eyes that had seen much evil and terror, and yet with smiles to break one’s heart.
Little children came around with shy smiles, and mothers with proud smiles happily pushed them forward to get their pictures taken"

For those of you not familiar.
The A-10 Warthog is the ugliest, most absurdly beautiful killing machine to ever take flight. A flying chunk of titanium molded around a gatlin gun style cannon; the equally absurd 30mm GAU-8.
It commands the adoration of troops on the ground as the sound of its unmistakable mating call the “brrrrrrp” overhead means several enemy fighters have been neutralized.
It flies low and slow delivering death more intimately than any other fighter jet could fathom.
Cloaked in armor, it’s rumored to be able to take damage to 70% of its airframe and still land with ease. It doesn’t need a long or even paved runway.
The uppity nerds running the Air Force have decided to “phase them out” this year… yet here they are continuing to “get some”.
I personally think that @USMC should take the them over… they fit perfectly in our “take old shit and make it great” culture.

The U.S. military is speeding up the deployment of thousands of Marines and sailors to the Middle East amid tensions with Iran.
The USS Boxer group and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are leaving early, carrying about 4,000 personnel with aircraft, missiles, and assault vehicles. They will join other ships, including the USS Tripoli.

Here's the key segment of the MSDNC meltdown over the news of Comey. MSNBC's Andrew Weissmann is desperately trying to poke holes in Florida's special grand jury.
He's the same crooked prosecutor who weaponized the Mueller team to push the Russia hoax and target Trump, but even he had to concede the plan targets Barack Obama.
He explained how the "grand conspiracy" under 18 USC Section 241 lets them reach back past the statute of limitations by tying everything to the Mar-a-Lago raid and claiming an ongoing plot.

HOLY CRAP! MS Now's initial reaction segment just EXPOSED how panicked they are over Comey getting a subpoena in Florida's Southern District for the grand conspiracy probe. They even admit the HEAD OF THE BEAST is involved: Wallace said @PressSec "described former President Barack Obama as being very much in their sights as part of this investigation." Andrew Weissmann, a commie lawfare fck, REFUSED to admit that this grand jury means Trump knows that the conspiracy against him is ONGOING, but when you read between the lines, he can't hide the truth. "There's something that happened in Florida. And that's sort of the only thing I can think of that would be able to tie it to Florida. But remember, that is a case where a federal judge signed off on that search. And even Judge Cannon, I believe, in connection with motions there, rejected the idea that the defendant who made the claim that it was a sort of selective or vindictive prosecution. So I'm not really sure how they're going to claim that." People really need to watch this and understand just what's going on in Florida when it refers to Crossfire Hurricane and the people who tried to impeach Trump twice.
