@TheAthleticFC I am getting very bored with almost weekly updates confirming that Gabriel got away with another one. Simple solution. Retrospective suspensions. I agree that it doesn’t impact on the game where he cheated - again. But his club might review their gamesmanship, eventually.
English

Gabriel should have been sent off for violent conduct during Arsenal’s loss to Manchester City in April, the Premier League’s key match incidents panel has found.
In the 82nd minute, with the league leaders chasing the game, the defender was pushed by Erling Haaland and the pair had a head-to-head altercation. As they parted, Gabriel appeared to push the striker with his head.
Referee Anthony Taylor gave each player a yellow card following the incident, and video assistant referee (VAR) John Brooks did not intervene.
The Premier League’s KMI panel is an independent body introduced in the 2022-23 season that reviews critical match incidents in the referee’s jurisdiction.
The panel ruled by a majority of 3:2 that Gabriel’s actions warranted a red card for violent conduct, due to his extra head movement, according to sources with knowledge of the outcome.

@LastWordOnSpurs @WeAreOverlap Will be our next manager when De Zerbi resigns.

🚨Mauricio Pochettino has described the situation as ‘sad’ what is happening at Tottenham and says he still ‘really loves the Club’:
🗣️”I know how people are suffering there, inside the club and also fans.”

@LastWordOnSpurs @talkSPORT Says Dyche the world class dud. If he was any good he might have been our manager. Might have been better than Frank but that is a very low bar!!
English

🚨Sean Dyche says Tottenham Hotspur will be relegated from the Premier League:
🗣️"I just think they're in real trouble!"
🗣️"I expected them to bounce when the new manager went in but it hasn't worked!"

@TheAthleticFC And yet VARsenal keep on crying that they do not get decisions. Do they actually own the PGMOL!!

@triffic_stuff_ I thought Tim Martin was pro Reform. I assume this employee will find out very soon!!
English

WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK IS GOING ON IN BRITAIN?! 😡
A Wetherspoons manager in Braintree has just been caught on camera openly refusing to serve customers who support Reform UK. “I’m deciding that”, he smugly tells punters.
Refusing service over politics?! In a bloody pub?!
Reform UK is currently the biggest party in the country, leading the polls at 25-28%, favourites to win the next election.
These aren’t some fringe weirdos, they’re ordinary, hard-working Brits. The exact salt-of-the-earth customers who pack out Wetherspoons every week, keep the pints flowing and the lights on.
Without them, half these pubs would be broke. And some snotty little bar manager thinks he can play political gatekeeper? F*ck off!
That’s not how Britain works. You don’t get to ban paying customers because of who they vote for.
If you can’t handle serving people with different views, don’t work with the public. Simple as.
Tim Martin, sort this out and fire him immediately. This is a disgrace.
English

@FabrizioRomano So sad for VARsenal. If only it had been in this country. 😂😂😂😂
English

🤦♂️ "Martin will only see things from one perspective!"
😡 "To suggest because you kick a ball that you have more character than the ref is relatively insulting!"
Simon Jordan hits back at Gerrard and Keown for their criticism of the referee during Atleti vs #AFC! 😡

@LastWordOnSpurs Waste of space, apart from 1 fluky goal against City.

🔥 SIMON JORDAN SLAMS ALEX SCOTT AND FOOTBALL FOCUS IN BRUTAL ON-AIR TAKEDOWN!
Jordan In Fiery Clash With Keown As He Defends The Show He Worked On 👊
Simon Jordan did not hold back as he explained exactly why Football Focus has been axed.
“The reason why it’s gone is because it’s not very good”, he said, adding that people would watch the iconic show if it had “something intriguing at the centre of it”.
He then turned his fire on presenter Alex Scott:
“I think the presenter was flat. No charisma. No insights.”
Martin Keown quickly jumped in to defend her:
“I think that’s not fair.”
Jordan fired back instantly:
“You would do because you worked on it with her.”
As Keown continued interrupting and defending the programme, Jordan grew visibly frustrated:
“I’m not sure why we’re drawing you into this conversation,” he snapped, before landing the decisive blow:
“Ultimately a show is held together by the people that are in it. I look at that show and think it was pedestrian. It focused on issues that weren’t important. I’m not interested in the sexuality of football fans of West Bromwich Albion!”
Keown replied that change happens but we can still celebrate what the programme was all about. Even Jim White couldn’t resist, telling him:
“Well you can because you were on it!”
Simon Jordan is spot on. Football Focus lost its way, stopped focusing on football, and viewers switched off.
Alex Scott’s was a big part of the problem. The axe was inevitable.

Dermot Gallagher on Sky - a yellow card was fair for this tackle:
"I think yes. He slips when he goes to make the tackle, no force and intensity, and it's low. I think Anthony Taylor has got it right. He doesn't make the challenge he intended to make.” x.com/MediaPLLL7/sta…
