My heart is heavy this afternoon for my colleague Del. Candi Mundon King and her family as they grieve the loss of their cherished daughter to sickle cell disease. As a mother, I hold them close in my thoughts. May her daughter’s memory inspire us to care for and uplift every family touched by sickle cell.

Ended the day at a powerful Maternal Health Roundtable with @BobbyScott and @LaurenUnderwood , discussing real solutions for Virginia families. @BirthinColor It’s been a great weekend spending time with the community 🩵
