Ayaan Hirsi Ali - let’s talk a bit about her. She is one of the most courageous voices of our time. She was born in 1969 in Mogadishu, Somalia, into a strict Muslim family. As a young girl, she was subjected to female genital mutilation. She grew up between Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and Kenya under a strict Islamic upbringing. In 1992, she fled to the Netherlands to escape an arranged marriage - she jumped off a train in Europe and applied for asylum. There, she learned Dutch, earned a degree in political science, and began working with integration. She lost her faith in Islam. She became an atheist, and later converted to Christianity in 2023. She saw clearly how Islam oppresses women - forced marriages, honor killings, female genital mutilation, polygamy, and the total lack of freedom. In 2004, she made the short film Submission together with Theo van Gogh. The film showed violence against women in Islam. Shortly after, Theo van Gogh was murdered in broad daylight in Amsterdam by a radical Muslim. A threat against Ayaan was left pinned to his chest: she was next. She received death threats for years. She had to live under police protection. She was elected to the Dutch parliament for the Liberal Party, where she fought for Muslim women’s rights and against the illusions of multiculturalism. She has written books such as Infidel, Nomad, and Heretic, where she directly criticizes the core of Islam - not just “extremism,” but the ideology itself. Today, she lives in the United States, married to historian Niall Ferguson, and continues her work, among other things through her foundation (AHA Foundation). She warns the West about mass immigration from Muslim countries, parallel societies, and the self-deception that claims Islam can be reformed without confronting its texts and history. Like Salman Rushdie, Ayaan Hirsi Ali has paid a high price for speaking the truth. Rushdie was hunted for a book. She was hunted for showing the reality of her own life and the lives of millions of Muslim women. She is not “Islamophobic.” She is a former Muslim who has seen the system from the inside and refuses to stay silent. She points to the uncomfortable truth: that Western values such as freedom of speech, gender equality, and individual liberty are incompatible with classical sharia Islam. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a living example of why the Enlightenment is still worth defending. She risked her life to say what most people don’t dare: that the problem is not only “extremists,” but a religion that, at its core, oppresses women and rejects criticism. She deserves respect from all of us - not because she is “controversial,” but because she refuses to lie in order to be politically correct. Why is everyone blaming the players?!?! I am not condoning what they do - i hate floppers like lequeen. But it is ultimately the refs and the league! They are the root cause. Call the players out with fouls and turnovers when they flop and it will stop! The refs suck - they have sucked for a while now and it is they that have ruined the game!

This is the NBA's biggest problem, far bigger than tanking. Nobody wants to watch guys try to trick the refs and shoot free throws for 48 minutes. I'm not sure how the league can fix it. At some point the players just need to have some damn shame and play ball.

Yes, refs make mistakes or miss some calls - but the nba is totally rigged. College basketball is much better - you barely notice the refs are there as it should be. In the nba it is like wrestling - totally orchestrated - the stars get preferential treatment- also they start tipping the scales to keep the score closer or outright give one team an advantage of another. Yeah I have no hard proof but It is plainly obvious to see

@Dim_Kof @John_Zannis As a ref, that stuff is so hard to pick up live. You are watching feet, hands and body and it is hard to catch subtle cheating in live speed on the floor. Refs aren't "cheating" it is the players that are being shady. This stuff needs post-game fines or something.

I have watched Adam Schiff read fabricated phone call transcripts into the Congressional Record — on the record, in the United States Congress — and then explain with a straight face that it was "parody." I have seen things. But this week? This week broke something in me. Not in a sad way. In a "am I being pranked?" way. --- LET ME EXPLAIN WHAT JUST HAPPENED --- Democrats refused to fully fund DHS. That includes TSA. You know — the people standing between your grandma and her carry-on and the security checkpoint. Congress controls that funding. Article I. Section 8. That is not my opinion, that is the DOCUMENT. The Constitution they claim to love so much it hurts. So the lines built. People missed flights. Airports started looking like the DMV on the last day of the month. TSA call-out rates at JFK hit FORTY-FOUR PERCENT. And who do Democrats blame? Donald Trump. The man who does not write the budget. The man who is not in Congress. The man whose job under Article II is to EXECUTE the laws, not write the checks. But sure. Him. Now here is where I started looking around for Rod Serling. ICE is funded. The same CR that left TSA short? ICE went through. So the president — and I want you to really absorb this — USED THE FUNDED AGENCY to fill the gap left by the unfunded one. Lines dropped. Average wait at Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta fell under 40 minutes. Travelers were making their flights. Problem mostly solved. The Democrats are FURIOUS. No — really. Furious. That the lines got shorter. That people made their flights. That the plan to strand Americans in airport terminals and blame Trump for the chaos... did not work. Quinn's Law Number 1: liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent. Every. Single. Time. --- THEN CORY BOOKER SHOWED UP --- Senator Cory Booker sprinted — physically ran — to an airport. Not to help. Not to push a funding solution through the Senate he sits in. No. He ran to a camera to deliver an impassioned speech about how ICE... is bad... at an airport where the lines just got shorter. He did not mention Stephanie Mentor. He did not mention a single American family torn apart by criminal illegal aliens who were here because the border was left open for four years under Biden's Autopen. He mentioned ICE. The agency that just helped people catch their flights. That one. I want to be very precise here because precision matters: Senator Booker, you had the power to fund TSA. You sit in the building where that happens. You chose not to. The lines built because of YOUR inaction. The lines shrank because someone used available resources to compensate for YOUR inaction. And you are angry about the shrinking. That is not a political disagreement. That is a man being upset that his plan to hurt people failed. --- HERE IS THE PART THAT SHOULD MAKE YOUR BLOOD BOIL --- This is not new. I need you to understand that. Barack Obama. Government shutdown. Open-air monuments — places with NO roofs, NO staff, NO maintenance costs — were physically barricaded. They put CONES on freeway pulloffs so you could not even slow down on the highway to look at Mount Rushmore through your car window. No operational reason. None. The only purpose was to make the pain of a government shutdown as visible and miserable as possible, so the political blame would land on Republicans. They spent money — actual taxpayer money and actual federal manpower — to make sure you suffered enough to demand the Democrats get what they wanted. They did not hate conservatives. They hated you. Regular Americans. Using you as leverage. Different year. Same party. Same play. And here we are again. Same script. Different airport. --- THE CODE PINK EPILOGUE --- I almost did not include this part because I was not sure anyone would believe it. The protesters who showed up OUTSIDE the Atlanta airport to rage against ICE — including Code Pink, the professional agitators — subsequently went on vacation. To Cuba. A communist country. Stayed in government hotels while actual Cuban citizens live without consistent electricity, cannot speak freely, and cannot leave. These are the people who were just screaming about oppression at the airport where the wait time fell under 40 minutes. I genuinely have run out of words. I tried to find them. They are not available. --- THE BOTTOM LINE, AND I MEAN IT --- The Democrats will not fund TSA. That is a choice they made. Congress controls the purse — Article I, Section 8 — and if you want to be angry at someone for the airport chaos, start THERE. The president used the resources available. It worked. Democrats raged. That is the whole story. I know it sounds too absurd to be real. I know it sounds like I am exaggerating for effect. I am a science teacher — exaggerating for effect is not actually my thing. Exaggerating for effect is what you do when you do not have the facts. I have the facts. Which is why I do not need to exaggerate anything. They do not want a solution. They want you scared, stranded, suffering, and looking to the government — specifically THEIR version of the government — as your only possible source of relief. That is the play. It has always been the play. And the only reason I am this angry about it is because it keeps working on people who do not know to look for it. Now you know. Look for it. But what do I know — I am only a science teacher and former Army combat medic who, unlike most of the people causing this mess, actually reads Article I before forming an opinion about who controls the budget. #MAGA #Veterans #Trump

Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill. Harry Reid nuked the filibuster in 2013 when he wanted results. Mitch McConnell changed Senate rules THREE times and canceled the August recess. Chuck Schumer used reconciliation within months on a 50-50 Senate. You have 53 seats. You've changed nothing, canceled nothing, and waited eleven months.
