In fact I think the ONLY thing this can mean is improvement. If the engines followed in such a style, they’d probably gain more detail in rivet work and better tooling. If the faces saw any sort of change, you could easily fix it with 3D printing again like you already do. This-

No disrespect to Rick/OP here but I think this is putting the cart in front of the horse. Bachmann has only ever made plans to make CGI engines per contract and should that change; it is not Matt’s fault or decision nor world ending. The 2026 style isn’t even that different.

Bachmann’s response to the reboot and future models. Sorry, but this answer doesn’t give me much confidence. Imagine we finally get Hiro, Whiff, or Charlie and they’re 2026-styled. That’d be a massive disappointment.

Good lord all of the larger engines look fantastic. I hope they have lots of weight on em, easily the most appealing die-cast versions of their respective character, minus the large Tomica Gordon, lol.

@LOTTracks @NKSchwarzwalder BWBA absolutely, I'd also add TGR since I'm pretty sure he mentioned he wished it was a Gordon movie and not Thomas. MRR has it's flaws, but the passion that went into it had a lot of people give it a pass.

@Sudric_Bob tbh britt wrote some of the best Thomas scenes I've ever seen. Sharon Miller, however, i lowkey cannot remember a really good well written scene for.

I feel like the questionable moments of TTTE could be better explained if ppl approached them as trains if they could *talk* rather than if trains were *ppl*. it’s like if you gave a voice to a dishwasher- it’d prob say something like ‘i want to clean the dishes!!’ no shit.

I do hope they gradually build these dynamics again like the books and early/later TVS did, though. Doesn't have to be from the ground up of course, but it needs just a little something

really hoping with this new direction they're going for and how confident they sound they change Henry's character back or try something new with him because I am SO ready for Wuss Henry to be taken out back and shot 🙏🙏

Something that REALLY intrigues me is that for the big metal engines they mention James, Gordon and... Henry? You'd think they'd mention Nia or at least Emily, but no, they chose Henry before Gordon OR James Idk if Im looking to far into this but Henry COULD be having a comeback

@SplendidNetworC since we know Mattel looks at YouTube videos, and not only were the complaints about Henry's importance quite large, but the complaints about his overall character were stacked on top of it too.

@SplendidNetworC With them apparently having a Gumball writer on board for this, and a fresh blood team in general, I'm hoping they try to hone in on everyone just being coworkers that sometimes get annoyed at each other in general. I think Henry will absolutely be the stepping stone for this-

@DontKnowHowTTTE @E2forLife1983 They wanted a big sister figure for their character Sandy but because the original series had no female crane engines they just went "Well Carly has a colour scheme that fits well with Sandy's livery so why not use her? It's our own continuity afterall"
