@elonmusk California cannot legally do this for many reasons: 1. Equal Protection Clause (14th Amendment) Discriminating against one manufacturer while favoring others is clearly unequal treatment. 2. Commerce Clause (U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 8) If the excluded EV manufacturer operates across state lines, this discrimination could be viewed as a restriction on interstate commerce, which the Commerce Clause prohibits. States cannot unduly burden or discriminate against out-of-state businesses in favor of in-state ones. 3. California Constitution California’s own Constitution also has provisions ensuring equal protection and fairness in taxation. Arbitrary tax breaks targeting or excluding specific companies could violate state-level legal protections. The fact that you are applauding the political targeting of Tesla, which is clearly the world leader in EV development and adoption is horrifying. Most EV’s have to use Tesla charging stations because it’s the only viable charging solution that exists, yet all these soviet-level Democrats want to pretend like Tesla doesn’t exist. History will not look kindly on this.

Elon Musk is about to feel the wrath of Tesla shareholders. Gavin Newsom just dropped a bombshell, excluding Tesla from ALL California EV tax credits. Why? Musk's anti-American antics don’t sit well, and Newsom is using this as a power move to boost new competitors, not reward companies that already feasted on government subsidies.
