BREAKING - The European Council just approved the compromise text of the Platform Work Directive. The Directive now goes for the final approval in Parliament but that should be a formality. After many years of negotiations Europe will now have its common standard on platform work

There is no need for a platform-run benefit fund for #gigeconomy workers. These workers should be given employment and social protection rights. There should be no concession on what constitutes working time. Why provincial/national govts entertain these proposals I don't know.
