Reuters: Reliance Industries purchased 5 million barrels of Iranian crude, days after the US temporarily removed sanctions on the oil, Reuters reports, citing people familiar.

many pet owners aren’t aware that constrictors never stop growing. this is a serious problem in the Everglades and has overwhelmed much of the natural fauna ecosystem. i knew guys who used to hunt alligators but were afraid to go out in the swamps once the snakes took over.

They found a boa constrictor on the Beltline yesterday. Boas are not native to Georgia so we believe this is an escaped or released exotic pet.

Valero's Port Arthur refinery has a nameplate capacity of 424 kbpd and is among the 10 largest refineries in the US.
It can handle a healthy volume of heavy crude thanks to a big vacuum distillation unit (200 kbpd) and coker (158 kbpd)
Was importing ~150 kbpd of heavy crude, mostly from Mexico, and is a natural historic buyer of Venezuelan heavy crude.

🚨#BREAKING: A shelter-in-place has been issued after a major explosion occurred at a refinery plant 📌#PortArthur | #Texas At this time, numerous emergency crews are on the scene following a major explosion at a Valero refinery. Large flames are visible, with heavy smoke rising and seen for miles. Multiple witnesses reported feeling the ground shake at the time of the blast. A shelter-in-place order has been issued for nearby residents as a precaution while crews work to contain the situation. The cause of the explosion remains unknown and is currently under investigation.

The NBA has informed teams that the league is projecting a $165 million salary cap for 2026-27 -- $1M lower than previous outlooks due to a reduction in local media revenue, sources tell ESPN. Minimum salary $149M, tax level $201M, first apron $209M, second apron $222M also $1M lower each.

Don't be fooled by the numbers in the tweet. OTC is calculating the true reality of this deal and the $40M poison pill. This is Kelce's last season (or he'll get a new deal next year), it's 1/$12M with incentives and voids to spread the bonus. Will be a small dead hit in 2027.

My sense of things from a few conversations (an incomplete picture at best, of course):
- messages exchanged via intermediaries, no proper negotiations yet (contra Trump)
- Trump acting as if Iran has already made major concessions, no one believes that is the case
- little optimism amongst regional officials that talks will succeed, given the enormous gap between the two sides
- Iran has previously conveyed to intermediaries that it doesn't want to deal with Witkoff again, given past experience; hence the talk of Vance
- if the talks don't happen or flop, Trump bought himself a few days to move military assets to the region, and perhaps a calmer stretch in oil markets
