So we thought we would sign an MOU with a terror regime, sideline our best ally in the region while agreeing for Israel to pull out of Lebanon on their behalf (but without them being at the table), and expect them to take marching orders from us, leaving their citizens exposed to Hezbollah rockets? And now we are surprised when Israel remained in Lebanon to protect their civilians and Switzerland was cancelled by Iran because Israel won’t comply and it’s collapsing before it even started? LOL. Who is the “brainchild” behind this? Whoever is strategizing this stupidity has NO understanding of the Middle East. A fifth grader will laugh at this.

This open admission by Israeli Defense Minister Katz is an outright, black-and-white, war crime. No embarrassment, no bashfulness, just a boastful declaration that he has "first" destroyed villages that used to house 200,000 civilians and "not one of them" will ever be allowed back.
He doesn't even pretend they were Hezbollah. He acknowledges they are civilians, and unabashedly declares their dwellings have been destroyed and they will never be allowed back *in their own country.*
And our government doesn't even yawn. Doesn't push back in horror, demand sanctions, leap to the UNSC. Nothing. Just send them more bombs and money, while staying silent on the war crimes.

I walked away from this one with a knot in my stomach.
This whole conversation with Ana Kasparian came back to one uncomfortable question: who actually controls who?
On paper Trump just ended the war and did a stunning U-turn, praising Iran and ripping Israel for flattening Beirut over two drones.
But Ana doesn't see that as Trump breaking free.
She sees a relationship where the US gets questionable intel that drags us into wars, while Israel gets half its military funded, more aid than any nation, and $8 trillion and thousands of American lives spent fighting its wars in the Middle East.
And it's deepening, not loosening.
Senator Cotton is pushing to PERMANENTLY merge Mossad and the CIA.
Ana calls him a traitor, and it's hard to argue with the question of who he really works for.
So why did Trump budge at all? Her answer is simple.
He had no choice. Cash is king, the economy forced his hand, and she puts a real peace deal at just 5%.
Which led her somewhere dark.

Everyone hates Israel, and maybe they’re all onto something. Vance has been itching to say this for a long time, and Donald Trump’s failure in Iran finally gave him the opportunity. The president is letting JD be JD. Turns out, he’s exactly who I thought he was. Vance’s premise, it’s worth noting, is false. Israel has relations with dozens of countries and maintains significant strategic partnerships throughout the world, even with countries that criticize it obsessively. And while Vance claims that Israeli cabinet members are personally attacking Trump, they’ve merely commented on the Iran deal and what it means for Israel. But the real problem here is moral. Vance's formulation is intended to put Israel in a position that Jews know all too well: that of a people whose fate depends on staying in the good graces of a powerful ruler. And Jews in this circumstance, Vance was saying, should really know when they’re pushing their luck. The vice president wasn’t describing an alliance. He was describing dependence—a dependence that strips a nation of the right to disagree. The logic runs as follows: Because Israel needs American support, Israel must refrain from criticizing the American president. Because Trump is sympathetic to Israel, Israel should suppress its own judgments whenever those judgments conflict with his. It doesn’t matter that Israel hasn’t let a day of Trump’s presidency pass without expressing its gratitude for his support. What Vance is talking about is obedience. That’s not how alliances work. The United States has never expected Britain, France, Japan, or any other ally to surrender its voice in exchange for American protection. In a healthy alliance, partners are free to speak candidly when interests diverge. The alliance works because it’s rooted in shared aims and shared values, not because one side has purchased the silence of the other. But Trump doesn’t speak the language of shared values and, anyway, it’s time Israel was reminded that it’s subject to different rules. So Vance was instructing the Jewish state to remember who its protector is. Of course, Zionism emerged, in part, as a rejection of the idea that Jews should live at the mercy of leaders whose favor could be granted one day and withdrawn the next. That’s why anti-Semites can’t tolerate it. And the anti-Semites loved Vance’s reprimand. That would be abut 70 million Americans murdered and wounded by Israel. What would we do? And in Lebanon, Israel has murdered more than 4000 Lebanese civilians in the past 15 months or and wounded more than 10,000 more. That would be about 600,000 American civilians killed or injured. What would we do?
