Mazzulla had a great regular season and deserves praise for that. However, the Knicks series last year and losing this series to Philly should absolutely bring criticism. Last night was a VERY reactionary approach in the worst possible time to do it. His use of Hugo is a prime example. I love Gonzalez and believe he'll eventually be an NBA starter, but the 20 YO was stapled to the bench over the final weeks of the regular season to then be thrown into the fire to play 13 minutes in a Game 7. That shows a level of desperation from your HC and leaves me unsettled for the next postseason. Multiple moves last night had the "pulled it out of a hat" feel to them.

I don't really get this. All series people cried for "adjustments!" "more Baylor!" "more Garza!" etc. Then they got the adjustment, and it didn't work, so they quickly changed course. Playing those guys didn't have anything to do with how poorly Jaylen started the game imo, which played a factor in their early hole This is the thing about "adjustments".
