the real lesson to be gleaned from the collapse and balkanisation of the Naarm TBBQ is that if you want to be running such you need a space that is: 1. explicitly political 2. run with a certain state-like capacity in mind 3. not so readily catered towards baby-trans types

Mike Macnair really does have a groundbreaking systemic reconstruction of Marxist theory but because he’s committed to a political project around a weekly partisan paper and doesn’t publish his stuff at books it goes almost completely under the radar
