I’m really not bothered by this. He’s not worth £85m. I’m glad we stuck to our valuation and didn’t get bullied into overpaying. It’s situations like this you know we are operating better.

@lessthanyou99 @7003y Cool story bro. Let me tell you ours. We grew sustainably and grew a business through investment rather than spending straight away on silly wages and high player acquisitions. That allows us to now pay the current market rates, something Utd can no longer afford.

@FastMoneyAIM @7003y My favourite word there was historically 😂 let me simplify this for you, Man Utd paid high transfer fees and high wages but now they’re not doing that anymore. Cause it causes problems down the line and eventually ruins wage structure and morale in the team.

@7003y The issue will be having to continue paying players high wages, if they don’t perform selling them. It’s not about revenue or how rich you’re, it’s about not overpaying players. Eventually all the players you sign will demand high wages, you’re gonna take Tonali 275k.
