@RinoTheBouncer Numbers spoke louder. Re7 was a much better success compared to 6. There wasnt an issue with the action based, it just got stale. They wanted to appeal to the American market I.e guns blazing shooter. But now timed have changed, horror is now in demand as theres little out there.

I said what I said🚀 People argue that Resident Evil 6 is more action and strayed far from the series’ formula. But RE7 also strayed far into the opposite direction. Except that RE6 was a natural evolution where the iconic cast is now facing a global spread, which demands a more action-driven approach. Meanwhile, RE7 scaled back and felt cut off from the rest of the series, putting you in the shoes of a character whose face you don’t even see for no reason, with borderline supernatural-horror themes (they weren’t super natural, but very much masquerading as such) I’d take an action approach driven by a natural evolution or the story and world, over a game playing with familiar elements like set in a big house with small house nearby like RE1, and some familiar old elements while the characters were basically cringe and it wasn’t one bit more “human” or “realistic” when the protagonist literally reattaches his hand after it gets cut or has the most idiotic dialogue in the weirdest moment. I’ll take Chris and Leon any day over that, even though there is no RE game that I dislike, RE6 wins over RE7 and Village🎤 #REBHFun
