Reception to Year 11 is 12 years - with 13 years of a “freeze on their budgets” for education...

Playing fast & loose with information for favourable headlines is not an acceptable way to treat our children or our staff. Parents are intelligent, informed and passionate about what’s right for their children’s education. They know. We know. #itsnotagame #notgoodenough

May 2019 @UKStatsAuth to@ @educationgovuk “For a meaningful debate about public spending in any area, it is necessary to have a trustworthy data source. .....we note that the Department does not produce a comprehensive set of official statistics on the funding of schools.”

theguardian.com/education/2019… Expert analysis on school funding from the IFS. Much to ponder and considerable concerns remain. Worth Less? has more campaigning to do.

bbc.co.uk/news/education… A much clearer view of future school funding arrangements by the independent IFS. Our budgets remain vulnerable.

Let’s give @halfon4harlowMP full credit and our full support for this. Like so many ideas from the Education Select Committee it’s based on rational, pragmatic thinking. Thanks for continuing to champion our schools and funding improvements @vicgoddard @JamesFrith @EmmaHardyMP
Robert Halfon@RtHonRobHalfon

Pleased to have just spoken in @educationgovuk @HouseofCommons making case for 10 year plan for Education, just as their is a ten year plan for @NHSEngland . Highlights up soon.

Thanks for all the RTs. Please keep pushing this. Many MPs across the spectrum are engaged and supportive but they must ‘step up’ on Monday. Every MP and every party...No ifs, no buts
Worth Less@WorthLessFF

A critical debate on school funding is 48hrs away. Every MP should be there championing the needs of our schools. Please contact your MP today and ask what they are doing and planning to say at the debate. Cross party support is vital ahead of the Comprehensive Spending Review

Yet more independent analysis confirms what reasonable heads have been stating relentlessly for several years. ITV news will feature Worth Less? and the vitally important views of head teachers throughout the day. The government must act. theguardian.com/education/2019…

Any money for SEND is welcome but: £125m extra now for 154 LAs. Currrent deficit for High Needs is £480m. £125m extra next year. Projected HN deficit for 2021 is £1.6bn. Nothing extra for schools Extra stale bread at Xmas to keep campaigners quiet. No chance. @seanjcoughlan

We have secured some money for High Needs in LAs but it’s nowhere near enough. WL? know that campaigning is working though... WL? asks that, if the DfE has £350m just lying around what the hell is it up to with it’s financial planning? Schools don’t have a spare penny...

"The education secretary’s announcement is a welcome acknowledgement of the crisis in funding for children who most need our help. We have to do better for these young people. It is a step in the right direction": my comments for @ASCL_UK on SEND funding: buff.ly/2BppqA1
