@congelation242 @valeradx Dell XPS 9320, what is weird with the keyboard?
English

@valeradx why does the laptop on the left have such a keyboard? who designed it?
English

You can Linux on a Windows laptop while a Macbook will get obsolete by the time Asahi Linux does anything.

Give me one solid reason... To choose a Windows Laptop over a macbook
English

@gabriele83 @MagneticNorse Yeah out of band management is one of the big benefits of enterprise class stuff
English
@Full____H0use @MagneticNorse I'm acquainted to having every server being completely manageable remotely either by ILO/iDRAC or some other thing. The only reason for physical access is usually when you need to actually replace parts or check/plug/unplug cabling.
English

@gabriele83 @MagneticNorse optiplex/precision towers (atleast this small) do not have idrac, but they can have Intel vPro....
English
@MagneticNorse iDRAC should work, did someone unplug the network cable or is it a network/switch/NIC problem?
English

@southstream @MagneticNorse a server is a computer providing a service
English

@MagneticNorse This is no a server, its some SFF Client. A server has IMM/iLO or whatever. Dont waste you years working for an Org cheaping out on servers.
English

@radmadvlad nice, im myself running the unifi stuff, but thinking about going over to 10g, atleast for some of my machines.
Ubiquiti pricing on 10g stuff is not making it easy lol
English

@Full____H0use Just a couple unifi 8 port Poe switches a u6 pro with a fortigate 60f firewall. Also have some cameras running off an old Aruba 8 port Poe in the garage.
English

@ruigirao1 @DecentCloud_org @MarcoNL88 @psomkar1 Sorry, should've probably be clearer, I ment enterprise as in servers/networking hardware.
So where you worked, 4 hour SLA on laptops was possible?
English

@Full____H0use @DecentCloud_org @MarcoNL88 @psomkar1 It was enterprise 300/400 laptop inventory, all 4 years on site.
English

@DecentCloud_org @psomkar1 If i have a penny from this isv certification everytime catia crashes randomly i would be a billionaire by now
English

@ruigirao1 @DecentCloud_org @MarcoNL88 @psomkar1 For end user devices it's NBD service, for enterprise 4h sla is the standard in my experience (nordics).
English

@DecentCloud_org @MarcoNL88 @psomkar1 Onsite being 4 hours maybe in US, in Europe is more 1 or 2 business days, however beats sending the laptop away for a 2 or 3 weeks…
English

@second_steep @mycoliza Why? You can put a 1x card into an x16 slot.
It's intentionally designed that way.
Is there something I'm missing?
English

@DocStrangelove2 the people who believe everything grok says needed to hear that

@Jehkosa @tlindblad @InternetH0F Pretty much every source I can find for it states it indeed has a tracer
TM 43-0001-28 (1977 and 1994 both state it has a tracer)

English

Then you guys must have used some odd tracerless training ammunition. I am 99.9% confident all combat shells have tracers. Maybe the steel training shots for the 105mm cannons didnt. Marines didnt get the M1A1 before 1989 which was the first Abrams model with the 120mm smoothbore and that M829 shell (it not being modeled on the images of the wiki page doesnt mean it isnt there) tanks shells having a tracer is such a given and been for so long that people dont even think about it. 105mm M774 and M833 combat shells which were in service from '79 and '80 had tracer elements. So I am just lead to assume that your units 105mm training ammunition in the 80s didnt have tracer elements for whatever reason. "Something something marines always out of money" kind of thing.
