@matthewhughes Google Tasks (simple and integrates with Google Calendar) + Trello (for more complex tasks and bigger projects). Also Google Keep for notes, shopping lists and stuff like that.

@KlassenLab We're now back to google tasks which integrate with google calendar. (never would have tried the fancier project management if google hadn't gotten rid of tasks for a while). There's no way to tag specific people but at least there's a way to keep track of tasks with dates

@obi1dontknowme Nice. I'm a fan, too, to the point that I built my own full screen web app for Google Tasks power users. It's free if you want to try it, and has a lot more features than the official version. It also doesn't have the distraction of your calendar or email. tasks.gtaskd.com

@MrCharlesPowers I'm guessing Google Tasks is overly simplistic for you. It is for me, so I built my own web app for Google Tasks power users. Feel free to try—the free version might help you ditch the subscription, and even it's got more features than the official apps: tasks.gtaskd.com

@VerbalDiorama If you want Google Tasks but with more features, like multiple levels of subtasks, you can try the web app I built for Google Tasks power users: tasks.gtaskd.com . All your data is already in their API, so it seems like it's worth a shot since there's zero transition.

Can anyone recommend a really good scheduling app - so I can easily keep up to date with recording my shows, other people's shows and any other tasks. My schedule is getting busier and I'm using Google Tasks to manage everything, but I think I need something better....

@_davebennett Half baked? Absolutely. It is covered by the GSuite SLA though, so they won't kill it off anytime soon. If you want to try a 3/4 baked Google Tasks web app for power users, here's the one I built, which has a lot more features to come: tasks.gtaskd.com

@anandp29 @jchernov @Wunderlist I wish Google Tasks had shareable lists, too. That's high on the priority list for the full screen Google Tasks web app I've been building for power users. If you're a Wunderlist user, it might be a good fit once I'm further along with building my own API: tasks.gtaskd.com

@jchernov @Wunderlist My wife and I also have a Trello board for tasks around the house, recipes, etc. We mainly use Wunderlist for shopping list and "what to pack" list. Maybe I will try porting that over to Trello. Just wished Google allowed for list sharing with Tasks.

@benfloro Yeah...and the Google Tasks reminders are buggy. I'm planning to try to bring together all the best features of the various Google list making apps into one web app. Finishing up the initial release of my API soon that will run the Pro version front end: tasks.gtaskd.com

@randyfay @wizonesolutions I agree on Goggle's front ends being bad and GTasks being good. Google's API used to be better, but they started screwing it up in March to match their front ends. They've said they're coming for our nested subtasks in the API, theoretically 2 weeks ago: cloud.google.com/blog/products/…

@wizonesolutions Can't believe the ILLEGAL AGE DISCRIMINATION! (Google tasks with a good front end has worked pretty well, like android gtasks app and a hundred others. Google's stuff stinks, but their backend works. Mostly notion.so (used to be Evernote); todo is too-specialized

Followers in your 20s: do you use a to-do manager/GTD app/similar? What do you use? It seems like the big cross-platform ones are still Remember the Milk, Toodledo, and Todoist. Is the space somewhat devoid of innovation? It seems Ripe For Disruption™. Where's the ML and AI!?
