@joulesbrunelle We did the attic but walls is going to be a thing. We have asbestos siding which will basically never need repaced unless we have a really bad hail storm. So have to go throughthe interior walls.

@DNAkendra I am still surprised nobody has insulated since then. When we bought ours (built in the 60s) the cellulose in attic was dust. One of the first things we did was insulate the attic. Had to wait for siding redo for the rest of house.

Need to insulate my uninsulated house. @USAInsulation do you have lab reports or case studies to back up the (great sounding) claims sales reps make? Esp on what is offgassed during install and cure. And longevity of the material.

@joulesbrunelle Apparently super common in pre 80s houses. Someone had blown in a little cellulose in the attic before we bought but that was it. Everyone I've talked to expects a 1929 house to have 0 insulation originally. Hope you dry out!

@DNAkendra I am struck that your house isn't insulated? What?

@USAInsulation I'm interested in having your injection foam put into my walls but would like more technical details than local sales reps have been able to provide. Do you have lab reports or case studies on longevity of the foam? How about on the offgassing?

#H2B World, Logic says the Cap has been met. But has anyone had their I-129 packet returned yet? 9/21 was the last update...might be nice if there was an announcement updating stakeholders so no extra burdens are placed on US Businesses playing this guessing game. #h2bvisa

Looking to hold a day meeting on @nanopore adaptive sampling in Nottingham - discussing use cases, best practice and highlighting some specific examples. Wondering on dates - so - if you'd be interested in coming can you fill in the poll below to give an idea of date and numbers?

@H2BLawyer They keep saying that i need to "State that the employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due." When that is word for word in my job order.

@H2BLawyer Just got yet another mde, again saying that i made the changes to the job order but didn't make all the required changes. I've copied and pasted their exact wording and they still say my job order doesn't have everything they require 🥵

I have seen some interesting things in this #h2b cycle that I thought I would share for those interested: 1. VERY inconsistent NODs. Strong cases receiving NODs for Temp Need and # of Workers; Weak cases passing right through...

I grew up on an Ogallala well. We knew that it was being used up when i was a kid in the 80s because wells had to be redrilled deeper and deeper. This overuse isn't new it's just been ignored for decades.
The New York Times@nytimes

Unchecked overuse is draining and damaging aquifers in the U.S., a New York Times data investigation found, threatening millions of people and the nation’s status as a food superpower. nyti.ms/3OWtldf

@BrendanNyhan Thanks. I don't think he subscribes to anything but i don't use it enough to check, will do that asap. It's an on going conversation. Banishing youtube was "easier" but not sustainable. I don't want him to sneak around my blocks, which he's already fully capable of doing.

@DNAkendra cautiously yes. we found recs to the potentially harmful channels we identified were rare if you don't subscribe and aren't watching that kind of content already. based on our findings, I'd worry most about him subscribing or following links to stuff he doesn't know is bad.
