Of all the strange things I have seen in crypto, $Buttcoin is probably one of the most interesting to me, not because it is trying to act important, but because it doesn’t. That is actually why I think it matters. In a space where almost every project wants to sound revolutionary, world-changing, highly technical, and deeply serious, $Buttcoin feels like it is doing the opposite. It is almost like it is laughing at the whole system, while still being part of it.
And maybe that is exactly why it works.
Crypto was never only about technology. People always try to reduce it into code, utility, TPS, roadmap, ecosystem, partnerships and all that. But if we are honest, crypto has always been about people too. About attention, belief, timing, culture, narrative, community. Sometimes a joke travels faster than a whitepaper. Sometimes a meme creates more momentum than a real product. Some people hate that idea, but I think that is just the truth.
The funny part is the word “Buttcoin” itself was originally used to mock crypto. It came from people who thought Bitcoin and digital assets were stupid, unserious, maybe even useless.
