I’m just back from a few days in Rome to talk about heroic behavior, having been invited to speak at a conference of psychologists and then to do some teaching with my @HIPorg colleagues/co-authors for an incredibly engaged group of Italian therapists and psychology PhD students.

People are more likely to follow the actions of the group around them. Once this person steps forward to help you see others jump in as well. Similar to that viral video of the person dancing alone on the hill at the concert. It’s easier to act when you see others acting.
