It’s easy to romanticise the past and I loved UP, but the issues are more club mismanagement than the stadium alone.

@HLTCO As much as the London Stadium needs improvements this video is from the last ever game at Upton Park, there were plenty games when the atmosphere was non existent. The London Stadium against Seville was the best I’ve known for a home game, so it can be done.

Even as a neutral, it’s hard to escape the feeling that West Ham don’t feel the same since they moved from Upton Park to The London Stadium. Their fans are so disillusioned with everything now and it’s no surprise given they went from this to a sterile bowl; some things can’t have a tangible value placed on them but their spirit existed in that ground. Has it improved their revenue streams? Undoubtedly but at what cost?
