If he was loved by the fans he would have stayed. I know people who really wanted Potter and still won’t admit he was a failure as it would mean they were wrong.

A cursory glance at what he's doing at Everton, who have been a clown show in recent season, should tell you all you need to know.

All despite losing Declan Rice in the summer. WHY DID THEY NOT DOING EVERYTHING TO KEEP HIM???

@Right_Fred_Said @romanwhufc @FootyAccums Exactly. All I keep hearing is about his last few months in charge, completely forgetting the previous three years. Lots of injuries plus his contract wasn’t getting renewed. Would rather lose a couple of games 5-0 and finish 9th than get relegated.

Instead he was criticized for falling away in the 2nd half of the season, like he wasn't operating with a paper thin squad in multiple comps.
