🚀 2025 marks my 5th anniversary in Web3! It all started with a strong desire for freedom: finding a way to work from anywhere in the world, with flexibility and independence. 🔹 December 2020 – First steps into Web3 Six months earlier, I had returned from Japan after a year and a half on a Working Holiday Visa, with one goal in mind: obtaining my visa, finding a way to work remotely, and quickly returning to Japan, where my wife was waiting for me. I became interested in crypto and started learning trading on my own. Why crypto? A market that’s open 24/7, with high volatility providing the freedom I sought. I studied technical analysis on my own and invested my small savings (~€1,500), but soon realized that what truly fascinated me was fundamental analysis; understanding projects, their business models, and their impact on the ecosystem. 🎮 December 2021 – The GameFi revelation As a lifelong gamer, I discovered @illuviumio , an innovative GameFi project. Fascinated, I fully immersed myself in analyzing GameFi projects: 🔍 Carefully studying whitepapers, interviews, and technical documents 🧩 Comparing economic models and their sustainability 📢 Launching my YouTube channel to share my research 📈 January 2022 – A turning point My fourth video, a comprehensive analysis of @Ultra_io, surpassed 10,000 views within days. It spread widely within the French-speaking GameFi ecosystem, giving me valuable exposure. 🤝 February - April 2022 – First contracts and opportunities 📌 February – A NFT project founder noticed my research and offered me an information monitoring role; my first advisory gig. 📌 March – A GameFi project approached me for my first sponsored video. I started realizing that monetizing my expertise was possible. 📌 April – I created a video about Cross The Ages, a career-defining moment. 🚪 May 2022 – Entering the industry: Cross The Ages @CrossTheAges posted a marketing job opening, but it required being physically present in Marseille. Luckily, I was already living there, but knowing I was about to move back to Japan, I hesitated to apply... Then, during a casual Telegram chat with Sami Chlagou, CEO of CTA, I expressed my interest. The next day, I was in their office. 🎯 🌏 September 2022 – A new chapter I left France for Japan. Instead of leaving CTA, I proposed to @chlagousami that I develop the project in Japan. He agreed and gave me full creative control. 🚀 2023 – 2024: Expansion and success in Japan 🏗 March 2023 – I built a professional network in Japan from scratch, turning the once-nonexistent Japanese community into CTA’s second most active and engaged community. 🎮 September 2023 – I organized CTA’s first-ever showcase at Tokyo Game Show. 🏆 December 2024 – The first-ever CTA: TCG World Champion was a Japanese player who traveled to Marseille to claim the title. 🚀 September 2024 – Back at Tokyo Game Show, this time with a booth twice as large! 📅 2025 – The next chapter 📍 January 2025 – I continue to drive CTA’s growth in Asia while also working as a GameFi advisor, helping projects expand their Web3 communities. 📍 February 2025 – Kicking off a major collaboration with a leading Japanese GameFi project to support their global Web3 community expansion. 🎯 The takeaway: Mission accomplished! I didn’t become a trader, but I found something even better: ✅ A job that lets me work from anywhere ✅ Total flexibility ✅ A recognized role in an industry I’m passionate about 💬 And you, what’s your Web3 story?
