In the course of recent travels and dialogues in New York, I found myself revisiting an engaging conversation from the past week at the Raisina Dialogue 2026 on Intelligence Bias and the importance of equity and inclusion in the age of AI. India today stands at an exciting intersection of technology and innovation. Artificial Intelligence is opening unprecedented opportunities, from accelerating scientific discovery to enabling social transformation. The opportunity before us is to ensure that this technological revolution expands access, empowers women, and strengthens equitable growth across societies. In many ways, the future of AI must also align with the principles of Equity Economics, ensuring that innovation broadens opportunity and that technology becomes a force multiplier for inclusion, participation, and shared prosperity.

En route to New York to join deliberations at the 70th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Over the coming days, I look forward to engaging with global leaders and partners on advancing equity economics and strengthening Global South leadership in shaping inclusive growth and embedding equity within macroeconomic design. #SmritiAtCSW70
