@NewChristiandom @Ihunanya_chi 'I am not going to this festival, for my time has not yet fully come' Jesus said he's not going, because the world hates him. Lying to his disciples. Then he went 'in secret'. His brothers thought he wasn't going. It's a direct lie from Jesus. Along with the other two.

@ImmutableXY @Ihunanya_chi Jesus was responding to his disciples who wanted Him to go and preach and reveal Himself. He said this wasn’t the time and asked them to go. He did not lie. He was refusing their request to announce Himself at the festival. Context matters.

No one on this earth is naturally sinless, not a single person. We are all born with a sinful nature. That’s why even a young child, just two or three years old, can already lie; it shows that sin is part of human nature. This clearly reveals that Jesus was different. He is God in the flesh. God has no sin in Him, He is perfect. Jesus carried that divine nature because He is God manifested in human form. That is why, even though He was tempted, He never sinned. Even Pilate could find no fault in Him. Jesus is the only perfect man who has ever walked this earth. Every other person has sinned.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad Interesting how you've been unwilling to defend your beliefs at all. Despite making quite a few positive claims, as I have. I have backed mine up, or presented reasons for why (as in the previous message). You have not. Name a single MP Jesus fulfilled in the original context.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad Why does morality and rationality need to be 'grounded'? And saying 'God did it' is not 'grounding' them, either. That's hand waving. 'blind physical processes' Yes, neurons don't have eyes. But our actions in reality are not blind. Quite the opposite.

@ImmutableXY @sola_chad Your worldview is self-defeating. It fails to ground both morality and rationality. If your thoughts are just byproducts of blind physical processes, then you have no non-circular reason to trust them including the ones you use to defend your position. Atheism is nonsense

@Ieiruu @sola_chad We both use our brains. Our brains produce thoughts. I understand you don't like subjective morality. You've already made that very clear. But that's the default option. Until you can demonstrate an objective source.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad Yes, our moral sense is shaped by many factors: Evolution, culture, our own personal upbringing. This is why people disagree on moral issues. And why what is considered 'moral' has changed over time. You need to demonstrate an objective source. Which you cannot.

@ImmutableXY @sola_chad So basically, rape is wrong in your worldview because evolution? That’s quite a story you’ve got. And morality is subjective anyway, then it’s not even grounded in anything objective it’s just preferences shaped by biology and social conditioning. Hence, i'm wasting my time.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad He didn't fulfill a single Messianic Prophecy from the OT. Hence why he was rejected by the Jews (i.e. those who knew the Old Testament). This is why the New Testament authors had to invent new contexts for prophecy. Or take passages completely out of context.

@sola_chad have other people survive, too. Because humans are a social species. A - primarily - cooperative species of ape. Our moral sense helped us to survive in the niche we evolved to occupy.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad I would encourage you to answer my many other messages and points, as well. There are at least a handful you have not responded to. I am indulging you here, and I would like the same courtesy. I value my own well being for Evolutionary reasons. I wish to survive, and... 1/

@Ieiruu @sola_chad I am a human. I value my well being. Surely we can agree that life is preferable to death (in most cases). Health is preferable to sickness. Etc. I want to live in a world where I and other humans have value, and can live meaningful lives.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad Because it reduces human well being. Obviously for the victim, but I would say for the rapist, too. The cost of raping someone far outweighs the benefits. I don't want to be raped. Therefore I don't want to live in a world where people are raped, or rape is acceptable behaviour.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad Would you mind conceding that our moral positions have changed over time? Then I'll get into Evolution, which you don't understand, And which I actually studied at University.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad So our moral positions are the same as they were several thousand years ago? Nope. Woman have right now, and aren't viewed as property. We don't stone children to disobeying their parents. Slavery is generally considered to be ghastly. Much wider acceptance of LGBT. Etc. Etc.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad You're joking? 'The Bible is true because Jesus said so.' This is the definition of a circular argument. How about: the Quran is true because Muhammad said so. The Vedas are true because Vishnu said so. The Book of Mormon is true because Joseph Smith said so. You need better.

@Ieiruu @sola_chad Yes, morality is subjective. Unless you can demonstrate an objective source. Which you cannot. Which is why human morality has developed over time. And will continue to develop. And Yahweh's actions in the Bible become more and more reprehensible with each passing year.
