Reports now that Hegseth oversold the war to Trump and underestimated Iran's willingness to fight back. It's almost as if he's unqualified for his job. Too bad the Senate didn't have confirmation hearings; those would have proven his manifest unsuitability to lead the Pentagon.

Really hard to blame TSA agents for bailing. They have to feed their families. So when you get to the front of the security lines, don't take your frustrations out on THEM, even if they're grumpy. The folks who are still on the job deserve our profound thanks. And paychecks!

Hours ago, U.S. forces successfully employed multiple 5,000-pound deep penetrator munitions on hardened Iranian missile sites along Iran’s coastline near the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles in these sites posed a risk to international shipping in the strait.

MARINES FOR THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ? Now, Trump wants just 2,500 Marines, likely to seize the Islands in the Strait of Hormuz, They are 2 weeks away at the fastest. The problem is that Middle East Force commanders gamed this out 40 years ago and estimated we'd need 6,000 Marines plus all equipment spread across multiple Islands. The plan was to first take Larak, Hormuz and Qeshem (the Shark shape- one)/Hengam to box in Bandar Abbas. Break through the denied SOH then small landing parties to raid, Greater/Lesser Tumb, Abu Musa, Sirri, and then Kish. It would have a HUGE, detectable signature. Why didn't we do this in 1988 when they tried to sink our ships with mines? BC IT WOULD BE THE USA INVADING IRAN. Hundreds of thousands of Iranian Rev Guard and Basji would come out and bombard/suicide attack these islands from the mountains that hover over them. Also, resupply would be from UAE/Qatar bases, which will get hit again. They may not agree to do it. Then that means a supply chain that would have to come through a hotly contested SOH!? Madness. The MEU would have to launch Assault craft/LAVs/Hovercraft from off east of the Mussandam peninsula under view of the Iranian mountains, under fire from Shaeds, submarine drones, drone suicide boats or the mines we have not detected in the SOH. We don't have enough tracked amphibious armor, LCU landing craft or LCAC-100 Hovercraft to bring in the right size force to the beach ... and that force would be bombarded and suicide drones day and night. If the Pentagon would deign to bring the Expeditionary Sea Base ship from Italy to the Indian Ocean, SOF at least would have a secure platform ... but no movement so far. Add in the silly proposal of having the 82nd parachute jump into islands. If the IRGC wants it would have the makings of an American Battle of Hostemel. All of this is a STUPID concept that appears to be a hasty clean-up for lack of planning. BECAUSE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN PLACE MONTH AGO!

Can you point to the law that says that a president has to have congressional approval to do this? From my understanding and from what I just read from the law itself, the president has 24–48 hours to notify you of what has happened, and then after that if it goes longer than 30 days, then he would need congressional approval to declare a war.

I am opposed to this War. This is not “America First.” When Congress reconvenes, I will work with @RepRoKhanna to force a Congressional vote on war with Iran. The Constitution requires a vote, and your Representative needs to be on record as opposing or supporting this war.

Given the attention this is getting, I will point out (see below) that this is not a new position I hold...it's just that people care that I care now...I've already heard some great ideas from Members of Congress and learned a lot since yesterday. We'll see what ideas come forward!

Today, American Airlines delays me 2.5 hours because someone failed to notice empty hydraulic fluid before it was time to go down the runway. Yesterday, they apparently forgot to BOOK A PILOT for my wife’s flight. I’m going to take a new interest in the airline industry.

The Supreme Court just reminded us that the Constitution still works. Article I gives Congress the power to tax — not the president acting alone under emergency powers never designed for tariffs. This isn’t about left or right. It’s about the rule of law and the separation of powers that has protected this country for 249 years. The tariffs cost American families $1,700 a year, destroyed 108,000 manufacturing jobs, and produced a 1.4% GDP quarter. The economic evidence was overwhelming. Now the hard work begins: unwinding $175 billion in refunds, rebuilding trade relationships, and restoring predictability for American businesses. Leadership isn’t governing by impulse. It’s building durable policy within constitutional guardrails.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of those who were tragically killed yesterday in Jay County. Hoosiers should be able to get to work in the morning without fear of needlessly losing their lives because of democrats’ refusal to enforce the law. With open and unchecked borders, millions of illegal immigrants flooded our communities, making every state a border state. Complicit democrats have put our safety at risk—and that has come at the price of innocent lives. I support @POTUS continued efforts to correct the failed policies of the previous administration, enforce the law, and keep Hoosiers safe. dhs.gov/news/2026/02/0…

@angelaganote @BillMelugin_ @AlexisMcAdamsTV I keep hearing stories about ICE pulling people out of our jails and deporting them (they have quotas). Unless they are in for minor crimes, I believe if illegals commit crimes, they should be tried and serve sentences BEFORE being deported.

I can now confirm with the help of @BillMelugin_ and @AlexisMcAdamsTV that Belzhan Beishekeev is a Kyrgyzstani national who entered the US via the Biden era CBP One cell phone app on 12/19/2023 at the Nogales, AZ port of entry. DHS says he was released into the US via parole by the Biden administration. That app has been rebranded to CBP Home where individuals can avoid deportation and voluntarily depart the US. At last check, he was no longer in the Jay County Jail, but likely in custody of ICE.
Angela Ganote@angelaganote

The driver of the semi that police say killed the 4 men in Jay County has been taken into custody. I talked to one of the officers who said Bekzhan Beishekeev is being held on an ICE detainer. The driver of the van, Donald Stipp, has undergone surgery. His family shared this fund with me to help his family. He was hired to take the Amish work crew to their job and back. His family tells me others were injured in the crash. Killed in the crash are: 50-year-old Henry Eicher 25-year-old Menno Eicher 19-year-old Paul Eicher 23-year-old Simon Girod gofundme.com/f/standing-wit…
